Easier to shoot a 3 than it is to make a hard cut or driveI am fine with him trying a shot or two but he definitely should work inside out first. I don't get why he settles for so many 3s especially after he has missed a couple.

Hornacek, Grayer, Hill, Rhodes virtually none of those players were from Iowa. They play a lot of Iowa born guys that have been around the rivalry since birth. We play a lot of transfers or out of state guys that don’t understand it as much. Not an excuse, but I think it factors in more than you’d guess.
Jones tried to go one v one with rebraca a few times and lost. Unfortunately Rebraca appears to be even more improved than big RobDefense looked slow and lacked intensity with no close outs on the three limit shooters. The pick and roll was there a lot but never utilized it. Don’t seem to cut to the basket at all. Then again when the other team can’t miss, what do you do? I think they didn’t go inside enough and pound Rebecca as that was a mismatch that wasn’t taken advantage of.
Rebraca from 2021 was an embarrassment to the Hawkeye program. This year's version seems to be an entirely different guy (at least tonight)I was completely wrong in that I thought we’d be able to take advantage of Rebraca inside. Yuck.
I love that stuff when you can back it up. Georges was a king trash talker, but backed it up. I loved Marshall Henderson at Auburn because he was good and talked a ton of ****. When Osun did the Mutumbo wave against Nova, I loved it. But you look like a fool when you cant back it up.Osun needs to worry a lot less about flexing and jawing, and worry a lot more about gaining weight, not committing real dumb fouls, and staying in the game over 15 minutes a night. Outside of a couple games he’s been a bust.
Not trying to bash the kid, just seems like the type that doesn’t focus on the right things. Especially hate that flexing sh*t.
When you watch college basketball, just think of Popeyes. College basketball is a game of runs, and Popeyes gives you the runs. When you start your morning with explosive diarrhea, its hard to recover for the rest of the day.We should have been down 16-3. Seems to be magic.
And when they aren't Iowa born, they have been in the program for 11 years, so they learn about the rivalry. Iowa's teams care about the rivalry like fans. Our players, for the most part, see it as just another game. We have had 4 or 5 years where it mattered to us, that was during Hoiberg's big run teams. After that, we look like we play it down to our players. They play a lot of Iowa born guys that have been around the rivalry since birth. Cuts across most sports too. It's frustrating and embarrassing how rarely our teams show up for these games.
It pains me to say this but.... maybe iowa has better talent.Cuts across most sports too. It's frustrating and embarrassing how rarely our teams show up for these games.
I was concerned way back when we signed him that his lack of bulk would be a problem. That said, I didn't think it would be an issue until Big 12 play started. Filip freaking Rebraca made him look small tonight, and I've always considered Rebraca to be the smallest 6'9" dude I've ever seen. Well, Osun might be the smallest 6'10" I've seen too.Osun needs to worry a lot less about flexing and jawing, and worry a lot more about gaining weight, not committing real dumb fouls, and staying in the game over 15 minutes a night. They have guys that can pass, dribble, and shoot... so yeah, maybe not wrong. The disparity is not what we witnessed tonight though. It pains me to say this but.... maybe iowa has better talent.
Talent trumps what state players are born in.Hornacek, Grayer, Hill, Rhodes virtually none of those players were from Iowa.
But that was then this is now I guess.
Led to points though so…Don’t mind me. I’m just laying in bed with a decent buzz trying to figure out how an open 3 from the corner can hit the top of the backboard. I want a full investigation done. I need this thing fully mapped out. I want interviews conducted with anyone who had a good vantage point. I need answers.
No local radio listening for me tomorrow.
sound off already celebrating. They’d never tweet anything like that after an Iowa State blowout.
