College football season ended today for me. Zero interest in watching us play TCU, plus world cup starts tomorrow. Time to switch to soccer and MBB fingers crossed that we make some changes for next year.
Hmm, maybe I need to go there, see some real football. Hate to say that, but...

What we saw today is not enjoyable football.

We’re looking at ending the year with around 140 points scored.
You mean conference games, right? ISU had 85 points against SEMO and Ohio alone.

Even so that’s only about 15 points a Big 12 game. Take away the 31 vs West Virginia and the 21 against Texas, and it’s less than 13 points a game. That’s flat out pitiful.

Dear God. How can anybody give a s#!t when that is head coach’s attitude?
I don't know if I've watched a Campbell press conference since his first season in like 2016. It's obvious that he just does coach-speak for those.

I'm sure if you could be a fly-on-the-wall in the coach meeting rooms, it would be significantly more interesting and "real" then what comes out of the press conferences.

I’m beginning to wonder if the 2020 Big 12 Championship was the peak for Iowa State football. Think that’ll be the best it’ll get in my lifetime. We had the opportunity to take a massive step forward as a program and instead let it slip away. Just about everything since then has been a colossal disaster.
Read through the play by play for that game. ISU vs. Oklahoma PBP

So awful.

We let Spencer Rattler beat us.

Got down 24 to 7 at half.

Then garbage yards.

That was when I lost a lot of hope.

Did Brian Ferentz somehow start calling plays for ISU?

We’ve seen that same football in all seven losses this season. No adjustments made offensively.
Dude the call-in guys are doing the whole "just a couple plays" nonsense.

Campbell is a great football coach.

Don't need drastic changes.

My word.......

I think we also have the only team that has never figured out how to snap the ball when the defense jumps offsides.
Yep. Best option is to snap it. 2nd best is for someone on the OL to get out of their stance and point at the defense. Take the penalty for neutral zone infraction. There are certain things like this the coaches just don't seem to care about. Preserving timeouts and returning punts/kicks are a couple of others.

Not true. CFP earnings are split amongst the rest of the conference.
Ok, thanks. Just looked at another article and it said that in 2019 $4 million of the payout went to the rest of the Big 12 conference. The previous article didn't bother to mention that.

I really hope ISU does not ruin TCU chances, no reason to win that game and spoil the money coming for the big 12. I want the Big 12 refs to make sure of it.
I'll always want Iowa state to win, but I've already decided i won't be upset if they don't next week

For any program looking to poach Matt. More money, bigger stadium and better facilities don’t make up for **** coaching that constantly leaves you with one time out at the end of the game. It’s not on the fans, the players or the money. This staff has issues being prepared to play football games.
Ya, for next coach just give me somebody who has a clue how to coach on game day. Matt is a GM/CEO, I'm not sure what he actually brings to the table from an x's and o's standpoint. Maybe nothing.

Right? I’ve heard people say “atleast we aren’t losing 70-7 anymore”. Well yes, we also aren’t facing prime RGIII and his weapons on offense anymore.
That was Bryce Petty for Baylor that year, but you're not wrong. Big 12 incredibly weak this year and we could only win one game
