Nebraska all knotted up with not-NDSU 7-7. Almost halftime.
That score and Houston being down 14-7 at half are the two afternoon surprise score-lines for me. Not that I thought Nebraska was good but because even at their worst they should be able to handle a team like North Dakota

Caught a little bit of Frost's halftime interview. Had it on mute as I watch our game, but his facial expression looked like he had eaten some bad shrimp.

I’m done seeing Iowa struggle week 1 and getting my confidence up week 2. We haven’t looked great at all times today either and SEMO is bad bad. I thought Iowa SDSU would be close, just thought it would be a 17-13 type game.
I agree with this 100 times over. Can we please not have everyone get all worked up this week? Hope for the best, expect the worst.

Struggling with either should be a problem, no way frost makes it through the season

NDst is really good, you won't find fans in this state that want any part of scheduling them.

This is probably not backed up by stats, it just feels like anytime one of the two teams comes in after a bad performance in week 1 they win the game.

Iowa's offense won't be as bad next week, if for no other reason is it's really hard to be that bad twice in a row. That said, they're not scoring 30 either. So ISU needs to avoid turnovers and the Tory Taylor merry go round of death where he pins you inside the five, you go three and out, iowa gets the ball at the 50 and punts it right back to you again inside the five.

Better chance ISU wins by 30 than Iowa winning by 14 but I think it'll be close, just depends on who capitalizes on the mistakes.

Best way to fight that is to move the ball and get first downs so Taylor isn’t always pinning you deep.

Next best way is 1) put some pressure on him so he can’t take all the time he wants to kick and 2) don’t let the punt hit the ground and roll.

Okay, I admit, the best way to fight it is to score on every drive then it doesn’t matter where he pins you, but easier said than done.

The weird though about the Iowa game is it never felt in doubt.

That is some weird offense though.

They are still an FCS team. No serious P5 program should ever be worried about and FCS team. It’s why when AP state beat Michigan it’s an all time upset. Michigan fans still refer to that game as “the horror”.

When was the last time Iowa made a mistake in the CyHawk game? 2015?
