Yeah, Green was the only reason I was still checking this site.
Sounds good, I'm out until November, have a good summer guys.

How does coming to ISU change any of that? He would still be very unlikely to get drafted next year regardless of what he did had he come here.
As much as I hate to say it, I do agree. Coming to ISU wasn't really going to increase his chances next season. He'd be a year older and he has already had injury issues, so God forbid he'd reaggravate something or injure something new. Plus there's always the outside chance that with the step up in competition his numbers would dip some. He didn't have as much to gain by coming here as many of us wanted to think. It would have simply been a feel good story more than anything, AJ uses a covid year to play for his Dad one last time etc.

One thing being overlooked, hes exactly the kind of player who could have gotten Hilton rocking when he got hot. Last year people were bored out of their minds most of the home games because we'd play really good defense but couldn't make a basket for 6 minutes.

We only went 5-4 and easily could have been 4-5 from the West Virginia game. A large part of that is because Hilton wasn't very intimidating. I guess defense travels though so we'll have to get used to 5-4, 4-5 splits instead of dominating at home.
We are the new Oklahoma/Oklahoma State, where our home games are like playing in a morgue but we'll be tough on the road. That'll be the way it is until the boys can hit some shots with regularity.

Now do Hoiberg's first team, and his teams if the opponent mucked up the game like most of the B12 does now.
Iowa's offensive attack is night and day better but look where that's gotten them. They struggle immensely when they play even just a good defense.

Just disappointed and feel like I've been scammed. All the experts on this board seemed 99% sure he was coming here.

Of the options, going to play in the G-league in front of tens of fans who got free corporate tickets was the least likely scenario in my mind.
Did you pay for that info?

Harrison did a fantastic job of leading everyone on to think it was Iowa State. Wearing Cyclone gear, using the practice facility even having his own keypad to get into it. I didn’t have that big of a problem with him going to UNC. It’s how he did it
Barnes inviting Gary Thompson to his announcement, was about as low and disrepectful as it gets

Yeah, Green was the only reason I was still checking this site. He's added a couple of nice pieces but the 2 Bonnie's didn't even lead their team to the tourney last year and we essentially lost our 4 best offensive players from last year.

I guess we'll find out in November.
4? Let me check our stats.

We didn't have 4 best offensive players last year. We had 1 best offensive player.

Bingo. I mean, look at Brockington. All Big 12, had as good of a year as he could have had and didn't get a combine invite. In looking at mock drafts, I don't see a single upper-classmen who played their way into the first round the past year. Maybe Agbaji?

To me it's a risk/reward proposition. You risk further injury, and realistically as our only true scoring threat he was going to be taking on double teams and his body was going to take a beating this year, all for the reward of an extremely low likelihood he sees his draft stock increase significantly.

Agbaji is the only one but he was probably early second last year or maybe at best late first round. So it isn't like he went from not on draft boards to lottery.

He'll probably never sniff the NBA. If by chance he does, good on him.
We at ISU will be ok. These so called insiders are ******* ******** and don't know ****.
Even though I have thought multiple times about buying premium, I refuse because the so called experts don't know jack ******* ****.
I just post a Roy Kent clip and the next thing I read is Roy Kent himself. I didn't know he posted here and followed basketball. I thought he was strictly a football guy.

Expectations is a funny thing. People get entire college educations around 'building' expectations. And when they're tainted, we seem surprised and betrayed. What really is disappointing is that we're doing it to ourselves because we chose to believe those convincing arguments because they 'sell'. Just my two cents.
