Way too early football predictions?

Dekkers is the real deal. Don’t want to put too high of expectations, but from a pure talent standpoint, I’ve heard he’ll be the best QB we’ve had in awhile.

Should Win:
Southeast Missouri
Ohio
Kansas

Toss up:
Iowa
Baylor
Kansas State
West Virginia
Texas Tech
TCU

Losses:
Texas
Oklahoma
Oklahoma State

Hit 50% of your toss ups, you’re 6-6.
There is too much logic in this approach/calculation. There is no place for something like this on CF……

5 win cap.
It's been a long time since not having a returning QB. And I think we are about to be reminded how painful that can be.

Prove me wrong team!..... please

I don’t think the team will be as good a last years but we do have a favorable schedule imo for league play.

Win: SEMO, Ohio, Tech, WVA, one of OU/Baylor, @ KU, KSU

Loss: @iowa, @texas, @Okie State (bit if an enigma)

Unknown: @TCU

I think most teams will be worst than last year with the exception of Tech and Baylor.

8-4 I think our D will continue to put us in position to compete in every game. A few clunkers out of the new offensive Starters will hopefully be offset by surprises from the Dekkers and Brock.

I hate sounding like a broken record as we head into a new season, but it's all about the O line and D line. Tell me how good they will be and I'll tell you what our record will be.

That said, I'll be shocked if we don't exceed the outsider expectations. Matt and his coaches thrive in this type of situation.
Along with Dekker, those three are the key to the season, ISU needs Dekker to be the Wallace of the team, taking pressure off the O line and putting points on the board, thereby keeping the defense on the bench and off the field.

Gut tells me to 5-7 or even 4-8, but I could see 6-6, something like this:

W Southeast Missouri State
L at Iowa
W Ohio
L Baylor
W at Kansas
W Kansas State
L at Texas
L Oklahoma
W West Virginia
L at Oklahoma State
W Texas Tech
L at TCU

Quarters 2-4 in the Clemson game should give everyone tons of optimism about the OL. Even look at the sack that Clemson got in the 4th:
Clemson RDE is one on one with Miller and gets stonewalled. The inside guys run a stunt and our 3 inside guys destroy them. Their LDE takes a crazy outside route and is effectively driven outside and downfield. Yet he gets a sack by going 5 yards wide and more than 10 yards downfield. That was textbook OL play that ended in a sack.

Im finally ready to buy into OL hype. I don’t think they will be dominant, but they will be good. Miller will have some growing pains but will end up the best OL of the Campbell era by the time he’s done.

I think the defense will be as good as last year, if not better. Too many proven players coming back to think the defense will regress.

The offense will be as good as the line performs and the ability of the WR's to adjust to a harder thrown ball. Does anyone really think that X would come back if he wasn't excited about Dekker's potential. He, and everyone else, has seen it in practice.

I think we get 6-6 or 7-5 with the normal bounce of the ball, 8-4 if we get lucky on some of those bounces.

Recommend Nuggets and 76ers to keep Cyclone season going. Tyrese is playing at near all star level for Pacers but unfortunately not playoffs likely which is the best part pretty easily.

Either monte’s or Niang’s team could make a deep run. Monte starts and Georges is probably 6ers 6th man most nights. If you aren’t an NBA fan Monte plays with one of the top five players I’ve ever seen who just happens to not be marketable.

Cuts the wait down to just summer months.

All depends on the performance of the OL IMO. I'm not that concerned about much else honestly. TE and RB might take a little step back, but possibly not either.

Nope. There are two teams in LA, but I'd rather watch paint dry then watch any NBA team
