Ok dude whatever helps you out. Honesty is the best policy when you are a fan of a team. We played five games against the type of team Baylor is. LSU and Baylor/Texas twice. All the same result and it’s hilarious you think that anything other than an A game is going to see our girls beat these type of teams. Unless those teams play just well below average we aren’t beating them without an A game, which is at least 15 threes. Maybe even a couple more.

Also maybe we shot and looked so poorly because oh I don’t know, Baylor is just way better and made us look that way? Their length puts a little extra doubt in shooter’s minds and that’s a huge factor for misses. No coincidence we continue to shoot poorly against these type of teams. Must just be terrible luck every time.
100%. This Baylor team beats ISU 9/10 times. And the 1 would be ISU hitting 15 threes and Baylor having an off night.

Just play exactly how we do against teams not nearly as good as Baylor. Simple guys. I mean why can’t we just play and shoot the ball just like we do against Texas Tech and Oklahoma State, etc? Holy hell it’s so simple!!!!

Don’t tell that guy that. It’s just honesty with what you are watching. Doesn’t mean I didn’t watch the entire game and hope the whole way it was one of the nights where it all fell in line. But yes, just acknowledge what you have seen. Again no coincidence we have looked this way against the three teams (LSU, Texas and Baylor) we’ve lost to. I would give a little more credence to what he’s suggesting but we have been absolutely rag dolled in the four games against Texas and Baylor. They weren’t even competitive come second half.

@TrulyCyclone HAHAHAHA GETTING OWNED SO BAD YOU HAD TO DM ME WITH INSULTS.

Someone is a little sensitive when getting pushback by someone who doesn’t agree with them. I could stoop that low and post it here but that’s not my thing. I am trying to have honest basketball discussion here. My bad if you don’t like what I have to say. Have a pleasant evening sir.

Not exactly sure.
As physical as that game was to foul Ashley joens out on that call in a 25 point game on senior night is an absolute travesty.
Generally the refs know who the stars are in big games and avoid cheap fouls on them once they get to three. Sitting the stars is not what you want as a conference

Why the hell are the Baylor starters in the game? 33 point lead isn’t enough with 3:30 to play? Expecting the team getting beat down to pull theirs first?
of course Baylor keeps starters in....

Baylor only has 4 bench players and 2 almost play starters minutes so at minimum they are going to have 3 quality players on the floor. They held the ball at the end with Mulkey they would have shot the ball instead.

They used to have 11 listed. Not sure what happened to them Also, you think a team that successful would have walk ons coming out their ears. Makes you wonder if they won’t accept them or something.

Or they are scared to go there with Baylor’s rep.

I'm pretty sure Texas hates Baylor as much as the rest of the Big 12. But can they just take the Bears with them to the SEC so we can be done with *them*, too? Twelve consecutive titles? Ugh. It's like UCONN: I'm just tired of the sameness.

Also, worst zebras of the entire season. Hands down.

Before the game, the Baylor starters came out and went up to the two female officials and chatted with them, never seen that one before.

Nylissa Smith flipped off our student section, Bickle flopped twice, nothing called. Andrews was told twice by Eric Brewton to tuck in her jersey, nothing done. Felicia Grinther hates Bill and it is no secret, and as soon as I saw we had her, Eric Brewton, and Lisa Jones I knew it was going to be a long night. Baylor has been catered to by officials in the Big12 for years and when they get to the NCAA tourney and it doesn't happen, they don't know what to do.

Talk about a classless bunch - win with class, shake hands and get off the court. Instead, you have Queen Egbo crowing at the crowd, and Nikki Collen doing the same with a couple of her assistants.

I saw the one official with the black n95 mask and short hair and sighed. Not sure if that is grinther but we never seem to get an even shake from her. It didnt matter in the king run in this game but others it could/has.

Bill is an amazing coach, so this isn’t taking away what he has done or anything. But it’s coaching. He has never really cracked that code to get his players in position to succeed. We have to be able to play inside out and get our shooters looks and then make them against these teams. It has happened but it’s the outlier not the norm. We aren’t going to match their athleticism or size ever.

Also we are a dribbling team where the ball tends to get stuck in one players hands. Ashley is amazing but she’s not what you want against these teams because the ball sticks. And that’s a disservice to her by the coaches not getting a better game plan to put her in those positions.
Disagree.
This cannot to solved with coaching. This can only be solved with recruiting. We are very good, but not elite. Baylor is bigger, stronger and quicker. We were almost never open. On the rare occasion we got around somebody they had people to intimidate or erase the shot.

Think he played it way too conservatively with Donarski sitting the rest of the half with 2 fouls. We were very stagnant on offense.

She took a big shot when she went down under the basket. I thought maybe they left her on the bench to give her sometime to recover. But I'm not going to argue much about it.

That was embarrassing. Seems like we have to be reminded we’re Cyclone fans no matter how good the season is going.

How does Baylor have 3 conference losses?

They are significantly better than us.

Their coach is new and she was running the wrong offense for the players she had. She went back to Mulkey's offense and found success. Credit to her for being smart enough to adjust.
