I like the idea of changing the unis...I was a fan of this years but all things Chiz must go, and I also don't like the USC cracks. My only question is doesn't it get a bit expensive changing uniforms every year? I realize players aren't wearing the same uni over the years, but it just seems like between changing the logo and changing the unis that would get a bit pricey.

they buy new uniforms every year anyway so why not just change the design? so we basically spend the same by changing the design as we do sticking with one but the one expense is the design of the new uniforms

but all in all i like the tighter jerseys because it make us look like were a halfway decent team:wink:

Because it does cost money to get a new design every year, as opposed to just re-ordering the same design as needed.

And why change the design when we already have an awesome design? Simple, classy, and awesome. No need to add any white or any other color. Maybe add the names to the back.

As for the helmet, I think it's pretty cool the way it is. I think the gray facemask is great.

Can anyone photoshop the current logo onto a gold helmet to see what it might look like? TIA

Something I've always thought would look cool is something similar to Michigan, where we'd have a cyclone pattern running from the front of the helmet to back... here's a real quick photoshop job of what I'm talking about:

At least with USC we are copying a great team, I don't know if we really want to copy a team like Michigan right now!

Could work with the colors reversed... just spent 30 seconds putting together a mock up so people would understand what I was talking about.

How about this? (First time trying to post a picture... so not sure if it worked or not?)

I don't think it worked?

Ok... I think I finally got it. Now I need to work on changing the white jersey to a red one.

I think these look sweet, however, the "STATE" part in the helmet is white... and it should probably be yellow with red trim according to the official logo guidelines. I'll try to fix that as well.

I actually really like that helmet! It is amazing what reversing some colors can do!

Who wears yellow? yellow helmets are ugly

Please tell me that ISU will never make the huge mistake of going back to ugly yellow or gold helmets. Very few teams that have yellow in their color scheme use it for a helmet color. There is a reason for that.

Yellow or gold helmet will make ISU look like Boston College.

If you want to change one thing, then put a yellow stripe down the middle of the helmet. That's it.

I hope I never seen yellow helmets agains. And believe me I speak from an experience of wearing a yellow helmet.

PS people will say LSU because they win, not because their jerseys are cool. Not to mention ISU's uniforms would look just like theirs except for the purple and cardinal difference.

A true gold helmet would help distinguish us from USC, if anyone even cares about that. If you make the helmet gold, we need to fix the gold in the pants and jerseys. I'm not too concerned about that, though.

White shoes need to stay.

Love the throwback helmet with the new logo....brilliant IMO

Looked OK with white jersey but a yellow helmet never looks good with the darker color for the jersey. It always looks like someone got confused when they chose the color for the helmet.

Why do people wear predominanly dark colors for hats? because it looks better than a lighter colored hat and dark shirt.

Schools with white helmets can get away with it. Very few schools have cool uniforms where the helmet color (other than white) is the lighter color.

Yellow is UGLY.

True gold helmet means we would look just like Boston College. Forget it. Stick with what we have and add a yellow stripe down the helmet if you want.

Names on back if Rhoads wants it.
