I’ll just say ouch (4 letters) because that’s the number of tries, again, for me.

I'm really missing going outside, even as cold as it is.

Fortunately I have layers that helps a ton. Actually had to lose a layer after walking to where I got in on the stream. Sun makes such a difference especially if out of the wind.

ROAST
LINED
WINCE

dollars to donuts three of you are now going to get it in 2... :(
Happy belated birthday, sorry to learn about your ankle(s).

Should have had it in 3, took 5 due to a brain cramp. Have learned several new words playing, obscure enough that I'll never actually use them and will have forgotten before the next Scrabble game.

Car accident or other traumatic injury? Repeated injury to ligaments or other soft tissue leading to arthritis or instability? Unbearable pain? Yes to all?
No car accident but all the rest of the scenarios on your list are contributing factors, including the traumatic injury, which consisted of slipping over the edge of a stair & hyper-extending my ankle to the inside, which basically severed the ligaments on the outside. That was surgically repaired when I was 19, but the ankle has always been less stable. I sprained it severely several times in the 25 years following the surgery. Now, nearly 50 years later, podiatrist says "you can fuse it or replace it, but you won't be walking in 10-15 years if you don't do something".
Pain wasn't unbearable - you learn to do things differently to avoid aggravating the joint. It was the idea that I was making things worse by continuing to walk on it that was the deciding factor.

Hey, @NWICY (or anyone else who attended the game today). What was the halftime entertainment, and was there a problem with the performer leaving abruptly? Just saw an odd comment about it elsewhere.

Holy cow Austin Ware the tiktok drummer, should never be allowed in Hilton Coliseum again. THAT DISASTER of a half time show was the worst half time show I have EVER saw in all my yrs of attending basketball. He supposedly is a drummer. Some piece of crap cartoon video played on the top screen while the lower screen showed his "act" which included randomly banging on the drums on occasion, running around on the floor, random raise the roof hand motions, piped in music, and laying on the floors doing absolutely nothing.

The ISU drum line or the Isiserettes would have been a MILLION times better than that waste of space. The little kids playing basketball is way better than him at least that is fun. Whoever in the A.D that hired that disaster should reimburse the department out of their own pocket.

The 5 gallon bucket drum players are a million times better than him. The hamburger game that the students do is fun to watch, this half time act had no redeeming quality at all.

Dogs, little kids anything would have been better than him.

As bad as the game was the half time show was worse the players put effort into the game that is more than this guy did.

Wow this is a Sig like post and still doesn't sum up how terrible this half time show was.

When he first walked to center court, all of Cyclone Alley was pretty much sitting on their hands. That was my first clue of this not being a hit (pun there, anyone, anyone?) It was like they wanted him to do something really cool and then they'd go wild. Closest he got any positive reaction from them is when he put on his blindfold and then played about 30 seconds. I felt bad for him but remembered he's already been paid.
