We've watched enough of Prohm's lack of coaching to know Beard's comment about him 'being one of the best in college basketball' is simply bizzare.

I thought they played hard. He may want to teach them some more basketball skills rather than focusing on finding everyway you can to grab, hold and body block the other team for 40 minutes. I don't recall TTech being as brutal, yea they played tough def but they had the skill players as well.
One thing I have learned about this ISU team is that you will not wear them down. ISU will be the stronger team the last 5 minutes. You will have to out basketball them (a la OU).
They let him do everything his own way. He won’t ever have that at Texas.

For sure. It was a dumb thing to say and frankly his comments throwing his team under the bus kind of show he was pissed and wasn't super interested in taking any blame personally for anything.

Beard doesn't know TJ. After today he probably doesn't want to. He was comfortable in his former club with Prohm being someone he could routinely beat, more than likely. Thus it is easy to give him props. I also don't think he wants to give TJ any credit for what he is doing.
His comment that he didn't pick us last, makes it even more disingenuous.
Edit: Don't forget Beard subbed a student manager into the game against us last year, while at TT. If he was such great friends with Prohm I doubt he does that.
Beard was a **** today. But Prohm held his own against Beard in general, so I'm not sure that has anything to do with anything.

Make connections with the DFW Cyclone Club. They will pregame somewhere and are a great group to hang with! They've been super nice ever time I've road tripped to a game in Tx. dfwcyclones.org will be a starting point I believe. I've hung with them at Waco and Ft. Worth.

It wasn't really passive aggressive at all. He said that they should ask the team why they they sucked.
Beard is a tool - During the video for the introductions he pulled his team in tight and started dropping f bombs about the highlights being played and pointing at the video board in an effort to pump up his team.
Also, Carr clapping in TJ's face with the ref standing right there was BS. Should have been a easy T. If he was doing that to a player there would have been no hesitation for a T.
Beard going back to Lubbock this year should be must-watch TV.
