I’ve noticed he’s very engaged most of the time and is very encouraging to his teammates. I’m wondering if the staff didn’t tell him they wanted to redshirt him which is why he’s only played in a couple blowouts.

That would make sense. He has more than enough physical talent. Maybe couldn't quite catch on to the new scheme. I guess we'll all know in a couple of months.

I don't know about that. Baylor has had a lot of success with it.

I’m guessing he is defensive challenged and can’t grasp the system well enough to see the court. He never was used even in the early non-conference cupcakes but we weren’t exactly blowing out those teams at the time either in order for the deep bench to get a little PT. It’s obvious that he is not an option at any point now that the Big 12 schedule has started.
Although we can't directly compare the schedule leading up to it (or predict what'll unfold hereafter), same record as the 2013-14 team after 17 games, both overall and conference.
