It also doesn't require a donation, which the paved lots and G7 do. For season ticket holders at the $100 donor level (and non-donor pass holders), this is the only option.

Yeah I'm fully aware... I know a lot of people who are in our shoes and that it's easier to tailgate in the grass lots with friends and family vs asking people to haul their sh!t to your tailgate... Just because people park in the grass lots doesn't mean they don't donate. Also, the north lot setup is garbage. We parked up their for several years but found the grass lots friendlier for large groups.

They are still available even though they’re not on the website. Was on hold for about an hour and got through…. Frustrating though.

Glad whomever is in charge decided to screw normal people trying to get a parking spot so the scalpers could buy them and sell them for a crazy price. Thanks Iowa State. I mean how hard was it to do it the old way that worked and didn't screw everyone over.

I don't want to overreact, but the person whose idea it was to start preselling grass lot spots online should be fired and their pension taken away.

You know what wasn't broke? The old system.

Honestly, it would be fine if the system worked like it should... Season ticket holders should get first crack though.

Yeah definitely not cool. I don't even know if I will end up using mine but you can bet your a$$ that if I sell it, it will be for like $25.

My buddy and I are just going to try and find a ride or park somewhere and Uber now. Totally sucks but oh well. The other option is to steal my dads handicapped thing and park right next to the stadium. haha P.S. I won't do that and I am joking

I have a innovative solution.

Show up. Hand over $20 bill. Receive parking voucher. Park.

Years ago that actually worked when we parked perpendicular on the east side of Beach. Pull into spot, attendants on golf cart ask for $20, you give them $20, they give you a ticket to put on your dash, and you are done. Pretty darn easy!!

Agree. I buy season tickets and donate but I've never bought a parking pass. I have my secret free parking spot that lets me get out after the game without getting stuck in traffic.

Anyone that parked at the game last week knows the lack of parking attendants/volunteers probably played a HUGE part in going to all digital for parking. Trying to get parked in G7 last weekend was a sh!t show. It was a free for all and they were letting people leave 4-5' between vehicles.

I have no idea why they don’t feel compelled to provide parking for those who bought tickets first, most venues you lay down a decent amount for tickets, they want to make sure you can park.

I just decided it wasn’t worth having to park there with Game Day crowd. We will just park on campus or elsewhere and walk. Glad I am not limited mobility.

Guy on ISU ticket Trader Trader is selling on for $200. Someone called him out on it about just getting it for $20 and he said no he didn’t. I call BS on him!

Yeah and wait till the entertainment venue is built. That’s gonna take a crap ton of parking.

I don't see how the digital parking sped anything up though. The actual parking is what took so long. They could have started at one end and parked two rows at a time but they didn't. There were tons of workers/volunteers just standing around in G4/G5.

I always get a chuckle out of people who say something wasn't broken. Not broken to you doesn't mean it wasn't an issue for the AD.

What if they were struggling to find people who were comfortable standing in the lot with thousands of dollars in cash?

What if the cash had a habit of magically disappearing?

What if they can't properly staff parking lots as it is and this eliminated having an additional person or two in each lot?

And season ticket holders had a chance to buy parking...with your season tickets. You chose not to. That's not Iowa State's problem.
