There is a non-zero chance that this decommitment combined with Texas’s kicker missing from 58 against ISU a few weeks later are the deciding factors in the Big 12 blow-up.

Correct so a kid has a full ride offer to play at Toledo but instead walks on at Ohio State because they are told they will make $25k per year in NIL.

Never happen. Who is going to pay anything to a fifth string walk-on?

QB room is super young but super talented.

Wonder how long Stroud can hold him off.

You would think some of these high 4 star - 5 star kids would learn that these blue bloods are always going to over recruit you and weigh the benefits of going there to MAYBE see the field vs going to a school like Purdy did where you become the guy for 3-4 years yourself.

Whatever is best for him. I don't mind it. However, Parents these days forget what it's like to play with your friends and have lasting memories. Everyone is chasing a D1 scholarship.
I think this is the biggest problem with their generation. They don’t hang out a ton, like former generations. It’s just a different world. Why would his parents support this? (Rhetorical)

So the Buckeyes have three 5* QB's and a high 4* QB, two freshmen and two sophomores, good luck keeping all them happy, especially if they bring in 2 more next year!

SEC schools that need a QB should just recruit the tOSU roster!

Yeah my daughter plays club soccer and is on one of the best teams in the state. They have been able to keep their team together plus or minus a player every year whose parents think their kid is to good for the team. Even though they were one of the top 4 in the Nationals recently. They go to a different club, then the next year they are playing for a another different club. Then try to come back to our club after a few year. Which we generally don't want them. Our girls don't want to play in college so it's more of a situation where they all like each other. That is unusual in todays society. Players moving everywhere because the parents always think their kid is better and can go to D1 if they move to this club, then that club. It basically sucks for the kid since they are no longer playing for fun and actually playing to satisfy their parents.

If I'm Kyle McCord today I'm PISSED. He'll never play over Ewers. And Jack Miller definitely got over recruited.

I think you will be amazed at how these QBs who never see the field will be able to garner NIL endorsements...

Even more ironic, the Buckeyes doubtless just shifted gears to add a QB again to the ‘22 Class now, since Ewers reclassified.

Odds that they poach Allar from Penn State? Wimsatt from Rutgers?

Not totally surprising with Stroud being a Freshman but that didn't last long:

Not exactly sure.

Probably still had the money had he played HS his senior year. Then he would have had some separation with next year being his RS year. This may come back to bite him.
