Bryson just hit a 7 iron 230 yards onto a par 5 green and made the eagle putt.

Ended his first nine at 2 under after starting with a bogey on 1 and 3 (actually 10 and 12).

yep. Also watched him have the worst start to a round I've ever seen an elite golfer have.

The views of the ocean/cliffs are nice and maybe I'm in the minority but the actual course seems pretty meh/dull to me. Don't love it.

Might be the lack of tree trouble, which is weird given the course name. Its defenses are length, narrow fairways and deep rough but yeah, there are a lot of other courses that are visually more impressive.
