Things have not really changed. We don't need the best players.....we play in the Big 12. We don't need defenders. No one plays defense in this league in either bball or football.

Coach P got Xavier because he said "You will start". Fadin' Fran wasn't going to tell him that.

The BlueBloods took our program away when they chanced on the best transfers.

Go away

It's people like you that make every topic on here involving basketball the last 2 years so unbearable to talk about. We get it you hate Prohm and want him gone. Same story different day. The reality is that's not gonna happen at least for a year. So why can't we focus on how the roster can get better instead of talking about how much you want Prohm gone?

Ask the staff. Maybe they can set you up with a safe space to discuss without facing the reality that every day that Prohm is in charge, this program takes another step back

I need a safe space because I want to keep the subject of recruiting on recruiting? Also thanks again for letting us know you hate Prohm we would have never known that.

We get it, you're actively rooting for the basketball program to fail, and lose games. You've been doing it for years now. There's some still here that want to see the team win games.

Quite the contrary. I'm rooting for this program to get back to its winning ways. If you know the slightest about basketball you can see that the only way that happens is by ridding ourselves of Prohm. Don't be salty because you were horribly wrong from the get go about this guy.

Intellectually lazy misnomer. Try harder. We're Cyclone fans posting on a Cyclone website called "Cyclone Fanatic".

We support the program. Steve Prohm is not our program. He is an employee that's in over his head and single-handedly setting the program back to lows that will take a long time to come back from. Intelligent people see the writing on the wall and want this fool gone. If he were somehow able to turn things around next year and rid himself of his many warts, people would support Prohm for the complete 180 in coaching because it will have meant that he figured out how to be a competent D-1 coach.

I understand what you're getting at here, but the fans who love seeing Steve fail and use this ideology are practically in a win win scenario lol..

If Steve does bad next year, he gets fired, and it's apparent he's not a good coach for this level. You win. If Steve turns it around, everyone not supporting him currently will say "See! All he had to do was be a better coach and it's working!" And you win again because you will claim he wasn't a good coach but magically became one.

If Iowa State does well next year, it will be because Steve made changes where they needed to be made and made conscious efforts to do so. Bad coaches don't do that. Bad coaches stay exactly where they are because they're unable to do the things they need to succeed, even if that means tearing something down to build it back up (what Steve is doing).

A player that understood his role on a loaded team that wants to expand his role on a different team would be very welcoming

he has NixonEsque shooting stats.

The people, like you, that are still supporting this program with Prohm in charge are part of the problem.
And exactly what is it that you bring to the program? Besides pissing on it every chance you get. And, since you're so proficient at basketball, whom would you recommend as our next head basketball coach...realistically? How many years would you give him to produce? And what exactly would you consider 'produce'? Serious questions for someone with serious concerns.

right now Prohm is sitting at the bar at 1.56 am looking for whatever he can get. He isn't going to get his first, second, third or fourth pick. He might have a chance with the friendasorous, but he should just be happy someone talks to him at this point.

Yep. We’ve all been there.

Time to end this train wreck.

Call me crazy, but I think that’s Jamie Pollards job to figure out, not Clonefan4.

If Prohm is still the coach next season, do you want Iowa St to win games?

The three in CW's article don't do much for me, but it's so early in transfer season. I'm good to just wait and see how the roster looks once things slow down later this summer.

How many wins do want Iowa St to have next year?

If you can find optimism in a coach that couldn't come close to getting the best out of a roster that had Lard, Wigginton, and Talley coming off the bench, and multiple future pros, then you're a bigger optimist than I am. That was arguably our most talented roster ever and it was apparent and discussed ad nauseam that in-game coaching/adjustments were an issue throughout the year. Prohm requires a good deal of talent to cover his deficiencies. We had it last year and underperformed. He's had ample time to establish culture, buy-in, and roster identity. He's still trying to figure it out and that's not acceptable.

And it's also Jamie Pollards job to determine when Steve's time ends here and that's not going to be until after next year is over. So people on here can scream into their computer screens and stress out their fingers in anger all they want, that's not going to change. Might as well hope we get better and show support while we're at it because putting yourself through endless misery isn't really helping lol.
