They've reported 125 cases. There's hope...might be something to warmer climate but it's also warm in Italy but India was also first to take some drastic measures. Maybe they saw what was happening elsewhere, and acted based on stuff like evidence.

It makes me wonder if they are trying to mask the true numbers from the rest of the world. That could just be the conspiracy theorist in me too lol.

My wife and I have stocked up a little bit to get us through 2-3 weeks if need be. I've got at least 60 days at home without travel (I'm usually on the road every couple weeks), so I've decided to get a sourdough starter going. It's more for the fun of it than necessity at this point and I've never done it before so even if I fail at least maybe I'll learn something.

We usually have a stock of about 2 weeks of food. We have now upped it to about 4. We also got our fishing licenses so if I have to work reduced hours or the outlook for food starts to get scarce I will be heading to the lake (we would regardless just now we will probably not be releasing as many). And if stuff really starts to get real I have enough ammo I can go out and shoot dinner (I despise poaching, but I will do what is needed to feed my family).

Most parts of India are warmer than the Milan-Bergamo region of Italy where the outbreak is happening

Yeah, did think of that...Mexico is also low on numbers reported vs. what I'd think would be a high density population.

Hard to believe it wouldn't be bad there. Social distancing in India's grossly overcrowded cities seems like it would be almost impossible.

Yesterday the message was she wanted to make sure “the state remains open for business." Wonder what's changed in the last 12-14 hours.

The proactivity, response, and transparency in all of this has been laughable at best all over.

I don't see this as opposite that message.

It's closing non-essential recreational things, and keeping the most essential parts of restaurants available. This is what's being done every where, and as critical as I've been of Reynolds through her tenure, am glad that she's taking her time, evaluating the situation, and then eventually making the right decision at pretty much every turn of this.

Even though they share a party, it's a markedly different tone than the President.

maybe someone informed her you can have no symptoms but still pass the virus around.

when asked about restaurants yesterday she kept repeating that if you feel sick you should not go. But never answered the real question.
