I just don't know how the answer wasn't "let's get it x-rayed and evaluate where you are after that." The kid has millions on the line.
I mean, its not like it was a concussion. On some level its up to him to determine his level of pain, or at least for staff to let him choose and then observe- I bet he would have been pulled pretty shortly if he hadnt asked out of the game.
Listen, it's inconsequential to all this as it wound up not mattering. But to me it's not a good look when you let a kid with a broken wrist go back in a game. It just shouldn't have happened.
I suppose that's true. I just would think you'd err on the side of caution-- especially with a kid with this much to lose. And watching from the couch you could tell within about 30 seconds he wouldn't use his left hand, which is obviously not a good sign.

they don’t do that and I agree with it. Senior day should be players who are actually seniors.
Tyrese is a great kid and a great player and a great Cyclone. He’s earned the right to go make money. But he hasn’t earned a Senior day recognition.
Man, so sad to think that I might not to get to see him in a Cyclone uniform again. Such a great, selfless player and leader.

Well ****. Wonder if this makes him change his mind and come back another year now.. will be interesting to find out.
The pressure is off the other players. Will they win another game? Doubtful. But they can go out and play hard with nothing to lose.
Seems like it'd be the other direction if anything. So long as his draft stock stays high, why risk further injuries when you can go get paid?
I'd love to see him back next year but it wouldnt be a good decision on his part

Hell, for a minor wrist fracture sometimes you cannot even tell from a first x-ray.
This kid is a class act. I put him right up there with Niang and Morris for how he represents Iowa State.
