Kaplan is the Stephen A Smith of Chicago media so what he says I take with a grain of salt.

I am also a little biased.

People like Espada because of his association with the 2019 Astros.

He started with the Marlins (2010-2013) with zero playoff appearances as third base coach

Moved to the Yankees (2014-2017) and went 1 for 4 in making it to the divisional round of the playoffs.

The 1 year he made it in the playoffs in his first 8 years coaching was 2017 with the Yankees. They lost to the Astros in the ALCS and he then joined the Astros after they won the World Series with essentially the same group of men he’s coaching now.

So his only success comes from 2017 Yankees and 2019 Astros. Astros were an already established team, he had little impact on this season for them. And 2017 Yankees fired their manager at the end of the year.

I like Bret Taylor and Bleacher Nations thoughts.

Kaplan’s Houston source could potentially have been someone in Espada’s camp setting Espada up nice for a job saying he finished next to Ross. Because why would Houston source know it’s down to Ross and Espada?

Nice, was worried about how many carriage agreements that network would get.

Jesse Rogers thinks it's Rossy and we could hear a final decision as early as Thursday.

John Tomase of NBC Sports is reporting the Cubs could be one of the teams in on Betts. Not terrible if the Cubs are going all in on 2020, but this also means they need to definitively get a clear #1 such as Cole.

Also, Betts price wouldn't be as crazy as some may think. He's expected to earn $27.5 million and is a one year rental. Teams aren't going to break the bank for that, see Cardinals/Paul Goldschmidt

Ross as manager will elevate Rizzo and Bryant’s play and in my opinion will be contributing factor in free agent and extension contracts.
