Maybe, but I don't think this Iowa team is anything special.

I think it will be one of KF's better teams, but it's not in the same class as 2002-2004, 2008-2010. But 2011-2012, 2014 were definitely really weak teams. With what Iowa is going to lose after this season, I think ISU wins the next two years (I also thought they'd win today).

Shoulda saw this excruciating loss coupled with the new sports books cleaning house.

I’ve lost the touch from the old days.

WE have the physical skill but not the better team. 1/2 dozen places to win that game and we failed at each one.

Not giving up on them but they haven't taken that next step yet.
I thought they looked a hell of a lot better this week than 2 weeks ago. Obviously they have to not turn the ball over and clean up critical penalties. They will be alright. Losing to Iowa always sucks...especially the way it went down.

To be fair to Campbell, CPR faced a couple of KF's weakest Iowa teams. Campbell hasn't had that luxury thus far.
I think it’s a case of Rhoad’s starting the season off at about their peak and never really getting any better through coaching (see any qb’s ever to play under that regime). Whereas Campbell coaches up his team throughout the season. If there’s a bright side to be had for you guys, I know I wouldn’t want to face an isu team in a bowl game...

Clive, Iowa
Purdy fumble before half time
3rd and 22 conversion for Iowa
Rose missed pick
Lang running it out, hold, 3 and out, horrible punt.
ISU failing to pick off the ball in Iowa endzone
Phantom hold
and the cherry on top, running into DeShaunte on a fair catch.

JFC - I'm at a loss on how we can continue to make zero big plays when it matters in this game. Iowa isn't that good and we still go out and **** our pants year after year.

One of those goes the other way and we likely win

Washington State had no issues taking care of business last year.

I thought the officials did a good job outside of the helmet to helmet. I always thought the letter of the rule was if defensive player leads with helmet and hits crown of offensive player that is pretty much at least 15 yards. I've seen less get someone dq'd from the game. Have they changed the rule?

As for the game......too many miscues. When a game is decided by that little that is usually the deciding factor. It's too bad because the D played a great game.

Third year in a row the better team didn’t win. That’s on the staff.

Iowa has a gritty group. Great effort by them. UNI-Iowa would be a hell of a game imo.

Ball-control doesn’t work well with very average special teams and consistently not winning the turnover battle. We’ve not had less TOs in just 3 out of 17 games now. 6 straight games losing the TO battle

Are you crazy? The offense is a ********. Didn't score on 5 of 9 drives on iowa's side of the field. 2 TOs. They are way too mistake-prone.

The offense didn’t turn it over twice. We didn’t have lots of penalties today, but the ones we did have came at critical times. This game was lost on special teams. The non Fair catch in the end zone was the critical mistake’.
The play in the pint cost us a chance. I was actually really pleased with the online play

What other terrible Iowa teams did Rhoads beat besides the 2012 team they beat 9-6? I was at that game and it was cleary a battle of which team sucked less.

2 time outs on 4th and 13 and we didn't use one? Just don't understand.

Where was the hold on the PI play? I didn't see anything on the broadcast.

I replayed it several times and I don't see it the tackle keeps Jones in front of him and I don't see any grabbing and Jones goes down to the ground in front of him. The tackle probably outweights him 60lbs and a wet field. Maybe the official thinks he sees something in his head but they are B1G officials. Of course they didn't see the clear block in the back in the backfield in clear sight right in front of Goodson's 10+ yard run that sets up Iowa's field goal.
