Not exactly sure.
Time to get back to work. Had a guy screw up a gate order for me. Son and I have 20 or more hours down and about 7 to go to finish this. Had a crew to handle this but the screw up messed that up and it’s now me and the boy doing it. With games and other work it makes it difficult.

In any event, not religious. Was peacher including this in his sermon?

Not much of a church guy. Not much of a religious guy at all but I'll attend church with sister and family on holidays just to not stand out as the black sheep. With that said if I am ever listening to a sermon and they start bringing political stuff into it I am getting up and walking out. Was in Indiana in nieces suburban big box church and was sweating that out a little but he stayed pretty much on the Christmas message.

Was just talking about general things and how what can seem to be small things can escalate into a larger debate that you would never have thought and just used the shoes as an example. He doesn’t get into politics and that is why I still didn’t know what the deal was. The closest he gets is praying for our mayor, governor and President to have wisdom and guidance. He does it no matter who is in office.

Husband, usually 1B, had to be the starting pitcher in the first game. One pitch, and he takes either a low liner or short hopper right off his right shin. Quite the nice goose egg he has right now, all iced up.

Edit:Slow-pitch softball. Shoulda made that clarification in the first place.

Much better day at work actually got done in good time. Swung by Timbukbru on the way back and tried their newest offerings good as usual. Even got a load of clothes in the washer.

Nice job. Son and I hit a groove today. We did 6 hours of work in just over three. Was mad that I didn’t grab a couple more gates but we are probably at an hour to wrap up this project. Crew that did come in didn’t do the one mandatory thing needed. Now I need to scramble again. I can’t weld stainless steel myself.

Btw, looking to go up around Duluth. What is interesting up there?

Duluth in my short experience is just OK as a town but if you up the hills of the town, there's some great views.

I think just north of there is some good stuff along the Superior coast.

I think the main camps are it's a patriotic image and it's cool in a sneakerhead way. The other camp is it harkens back to a day where slavery occurred. What camp you fall into is where it gets political.

Big part is probably who pointed out to Nike that it could be invoking slavery type stuff. Random marketing/PR person makes that point and no one cares. Someone who is polarizing on racial issues makes the same point and everybodylosestheirminds.gif.

Shouldn't they be talking about a c section by now?or is that part of the tricky health issues and they don't want to do that unless as a last resort?

Do you have a stainless welding person? My cousin does it for a living if you need somebody, I could check with him if you want me to.

Maritime museum and lift bridge are neat, There was a big ore boat you could take a tour of (The William something maybe?) Boat tour of the harbor. Fitgers by the lake served a great pepperjack chedder burger. They mixed the cheese right in the meat then rolled it in a batter and deep fried it, really good, pretty spicy, and probably not a bit good for you.

If you have an extra day go up North Shore Drive I haven't been up there since they've redone the road. Gooseberry Falls is neat and some easy trails to walk.

My recommendations are many yrs old so take them with a grain of salt. I'm sure tomorrow some of the Mn RTTers can give you more current info.

I have a guy who can possibly do it. Can do the work, but don’t know if timing works. Really needs to be done by 7 am Wednesday morning. This guy is the one who certified the welds for many services but is also the guy who made my gates and that was a struggle.

Feeling that Duluth might be a little light in things to do. Niece went to school there for a year or two and she gave me about three things.
