That is a perfect example. Every team gets up for KU. This team has talent for sure but lack of fire on a lot of games. They got out efforted on last 2 games. A trend that has happened with prohm.

I disagree, I don't think effort was poor in either game and I don't think effort has been an issue with CSP. I do think we struggle controlling the tempo when we play against slower paced teams. We are better when our PG pushes the pace and even better if we can create turnovers. We can run out of half court sets, but I do not think that is our strength with the personnel we have. Both Baylor and KSU were able to really slow us down.

One thing I thought about after the game was that we didn't get in the passing lanes nearly as much as normal. Those steals create easy buckets for us regularly. Not sure if we just decided not to take chances there (to keep in better position to defend), or if that's just the way it worked out.

I think it is 30% X's and O's 70% lack of leadership. The guy isnt the answer in my opinion, I do think that coaching and play calling cant stop these 5 minute droughts without scoring. But he can also lead this team out of the arguments and slump but cant seem to figure out how. These are 18-22 year old kids, and his job is to be their coach, leader, and mentor and he is failing at that right now.

That's a really lazy statement. Standing by your players and helping them through a tough time is exactly what I want my head coach to do. If that costs some W's so be it.

I want that too, but this teams spirit is broken and its his job to fix it and from what ive seen nothing has changed its only gotten worse the last 3 weeks.

The dumbest part is that people think statements that he makes to the press of Walters and Heft are exactly what he’s saying in practice.

There is no purpose served in going off in the media. He knows he’s responsible, it’s his job, so he takes responsibility. People jump all over coach speak to criticize him, wanting dirt. Then if anything is said there, he’s throwing players under the bus too.

It’s so far beyond just coaching with this groupthink.

This thread is the exact reason why you never should get to high on one game or to low on one game. One game he is a magician, 10 games later he needs to be coaching in high school. Next year he might be on top of the mountain again. Coaching can be crazy. I think it boils down to a team that just never gelled.

I think you overestimating what a head coach can and can't do. There are obviously issues going on behind the scenes and I'm not sure how anyone can put that on Prohm's shoulders. From what I'm seeing and hearing CSP is handling things the right way and I assume he will be cutting dead weight at the end of the season.
