Looking at everyone's remaining schedules, ISU needs to either win out or lose one at worst if they want to have a chance at the regular season championship.

This team can do it if they play like they did today.

Go Clones!

I love that KSU has two Big Monday road games in a row. Im sure ISU will lose another game, but KSU TT and KU could all get to 5 loses pretty easy.

Great win, but man did they stink for about five minutes late in the second. Four straight turnovers on offense...had my blood pressure up. Just happy to see them win.

I don’t think Higgins calls that T if it was a close game. ISU was up by a bunch and it had already been a very chippy game with the possibility of something more happening. I think he called the T to make sure nothing else happened. I also think ISU should’ve tried to get Lard another dunk and he should’ve done the exact same thing for good measure.

Good insight, although I wonder if it’s all about Higgins.

Totally agree with you about Lard's T.

"Hollywood" Higgins has a reputation as one of the best in the business, and while I would much rather have him then Eades, it's that kind of BS call that keeps me from having the same level of respect for him that others have.
You don't get the nickname Hollywood as a ref by fading into the background

ISU shot well and were fortunate that Wade got hurt, but still like the toughness that Prohm was looking for down the stretch. Hard to win on the road, especially when the officials are determined the help the home team. ISU finally got a couple call at the end of the game, although I thought the T on Lard was total BS.
I agree. My theory on the refs favoring the home team is that we have to always plan on it and play good enough defense and offense to ensure a safety margin.

From what I have seen of the officiating business, being one of the best doesn’t really mean much

This team is what all the talking heads keep saying, when they play like today the are an elite 8 team or better. The talent is there for a deep run in the tournament.

But the opposite of that when we do not show up to play, we can be beaten in the first or second round. We are about as helter skelter of a team as I can remember at ISU.

Lets just hope the good ISU team shows up the rest of the year.

KSU had won 9 in a row - sometimes a team just gets into a groove and rattles off a bunch of Ws that exceeds their expected capabilities. I wonder if KSU will come back to earth a bit now that their run got busted. They could drop out of the race if they don't keep their heads straight.

*yes, I know this is probably being optimistic.
