Look at this guy, trying to outdo all of the past "stupid arguments" threads just because someone asked today what was the worst of them all.

I for one am glad that I had a chance to meet this young man and, boy, that's just a straight-shooter with "upper management" written all over him.
I think you hit the nail on the head with this one.

You realize when we lose there are more stupid threads? If we win Saturday they will pretty much go away until the next time things aren't going well.

Just in case we win Saturday I am going to go with my take now, it's the haircuts! Our team lacks cool hairstyles for the most part. Wigginton has gone with a pedestrian cut, Solo is sitting out and The IV isn't seeing much court time. Not good!

Hair dye is the reason we lost to UAB.

Lighting doesn't bother me when I am there, can't speak to it on TV.

I think the crowds are less intense, but I'd put 60% of the blame on cell phones, 30% on the inane videoboard events, and 10% on people not being as intense about sports as they used to be (ie more families and less rabid crazies).
Inane videoboard events that encourage cell phone use DURING the game! I like the CycloneLights thing during the intros, but the trivia and the Cyclone Selfie stuff later on can go suck raw eggs IMO.

As someone who has had a bit to do with lighting an arena I can tell you that I am pretty certain that it is not darker in the parquet and balcony than it was before. It is likely marginally brighter. What has changed is that it is very much brighter and more evenly lit on the floor. This is good for HD and (someday) higher resolution television. This means that when the cameras balance for the light level on the floor the rest of the arena appears darker.

I do not care for the lighting, but Hilton is, was and will continue to be one of the best home court advantages in the country. A great home court advantage doesn't mean you'll never lose.
Exactly. Louisville effing blasted Carolina in Chapel Hill.

Clearly the haircut has caused Wigg his ability to stay on his feet. He was much better with the shaggy hair.

Frosted tips, led to that stellar NCAA run in Freds last year, so I agree. People of Ames, Frost Yourselves!!

I think the real reason is that you and @BCClone are no longer doing maintenance on the building. You did such a good job of creating Hilton Magic but asking what you did to last beyond 25 years is asking a bit much.

Is that why there was a broken pipe or leak up high this year?
