Worst home court effort of the year, we gave up a 22-4 run at home. Think about that for a second. Outscored by 18 points at home.

I have said all year, we struggle when the 3 ball is not going down.

Which is pretty much like every ISU team of the past 7 or so years.
Right?

The one difference this team had was they would play some good defense, but today they morphed into ISU teams of the past.

Another season, another year of Prohm dropping multiple conference home.

Only natural that the Prohm haters/Cult of Fred will be out in full force this afternoon.

But FFS, give it up. Fred lost some games in Hilton that ISU had no business losing too. I remember one season (maybe '14-15?) Baylor making 4 or 5 straight 3-pointers in a row and stealing a game from us at Hilton.

I feel like sometimes Prohm should play Lard and Jacobson at the time?

Playing two bigs isn’t as much of a disadvantage when your guards aren’t guarding dribble penetration anyway. And especially when Haliburton doesn’t try to be a weapon on offense.

It is what it is, they were making crazy shots and rebounding and hitting 3’s off their bad misses. ISU shot uncharacteristically bad from three and was a little sloppy. I just consider this a game that wasn’t meant to be. As for people bashing Prohm, you apparently don’t remember some of the Hoiberg era losses, we definitely traded up in getting Prohm. I appreciate seeing a team try to play defense.

Relax. Smoke a bowl.

Hat tip to TCU. There guards schooled our young guys today. TCU is a legit tournament team, so no worries.

The bye week will be good, get Tally worked into the mix, we’ll need more than 7 if we want to make a deep run. And we will make a run...

I did not want to resort to smoking a bowl until much later in the day.

You're joking right? None of them were coaching? In that whole crap of a game you honestly believe Prohm did everything correctly?

Yeah, I've seen your dipshittted disagrees also. You have convinced me. Prohm is terrible and he missed all those shots from 3 (wide open) and threw all those balls away. I'm convinced now because you blame someone who wasn't on the floor failing in every way against a team that couldn't miss.

GFY, buddy.

@quasistellar How is his really Prohm's fault?

I realize the guy isn't perfect, but this was a combination of a lot of things and none of them were coaching.

None were coaching? NONE? So there's literally not one single adjustment, not one single thing Prohm could have done to influence this game, then. Heck, why does he even attend the games? Should just stay home on game days since he can't do anything to help the team get into a position to win during the game.

Edit: just want to say that I think Prohm is solid, but he definitely has bad days, just like the players, and today was a bad day for both him and his players.

Segments of this "fan" base aren't happy unless they can blame something very specific for their unhappiness. We have a bunch of college KIDS on the floor and we want to blame someone for not being able to get a bunch of college KIDS to do everything they've been taught. If that's your coaching failure then have at it...

Really? How many offensive set plays did you see?? None! Just pass the ball around perimeter and toss up sh-t 3ptr. Shayok should have been benched at half.

In 13’ and 14’ we only lost to KU at home. In 15’ we only lost to Baylor at home. Fred’s teams you knew a little better what you were getting game to game. But with Fred’s teams it’s safe to assume we wouldn’t have won at Tech or at OU. Pretty much a trade off really. 11-7 is where we will be when conference season is over and that was a very typical Fred record.
