Listened to it on iHeart while I worked today. Sounds like we should have won by 20 if we hit our normal clip and easy lay ups. Glad to get the tough win though. Good preparation for March.

Glad Shayok was able to redeem himself at the end. I get that people have off nights, and he has MORE than earned a few off nights at this point, but I was beyond furious with him when he missed a bunny layup (I believe Texas was up by a point) and then pouted and whined while Texas took it up court to a 5 on 4 advantage to get a super easy bucket to put them up even more. Glad to see he reeled it in and came up huge in the end. But boy oh boy was I screaming when he did that.
I was pissed after Lard got caught celebrating after his outlet and Texas hit a 3.

I think Shayok just couldn't believe it but yeah gotta keep at it.
I love Lards intensity, but he definitely celebrates maybe just a tad bit too much off a simple two point bucket lol

Just a good win against a tough matchup on a tough day.
I thought he did a great job coaching. Really like how he put the ball in Sayok's hands at the end of the game. He needed to make a shot or two at the end to get back in the groove.
Hard to blame the coach when guys are missing wide open shots and layups.

I agree, he needs to get back. The guy has had a lot of struggles, so it is good to see him having fun out there, but you have to pick your spots better. Somehow I doubt it was Lard's man that made the 20 foot 3 pointer, or the 22 foot one seconds later.
I was at the game today. My big take away is Texas controlled the pace of the game, we played poorly, but we still won.

Yeah it’s like when the offense gets open look after open look, many point blank, that’s literally all you can do as a coach.
But this isn’t about actual x’s and o’s for a lot of them.

The camera didn't show a good angle, but he was back on defense with one Texas player at the 3 point line. Lard turned his back to look at the students and realized too late there was an open Texas shooter.
No, I said his guy probably is not the one that made the 3, but he still needs to get back, which it true.
Did you watch the game?
1. Lard threw a nice outlet pass that led to a quick ISU basket.
2. Texas threw it right back down to the sideline.
3. Lard, the one defender back, is posing and yelling when the shooter caught the ball for the shot.
That would mean he got caught celebrating instead of being ready in case you know, Texas went for a quick 3.
That stretch was pretty awesome. We hit big threes they hit big threes in response...big boy ball
No wasn't his man, but if he's paying attention the UT kids has to at least hesitate and ISU can set up.
