For the first time this year I drank Makers 46 during the game, and we won. I'll make the sacrifice of continuing to drink Makers 46 until we lose
I think my actual prediction was 66-64 or something like that. Idiot savant I guess
Think it was this game:
Two were ugly for sure. The one late after the TTU bucket to get Shayok the ball in the middle of the floor was a thing of beauty. What if I were to tell you that that same exact coach has no idea how to write up an inbounds play????? Go Cyclones. Great win!!
And the difference between good enough and not is about 2-3 points. Going to be a ballbuster of a season.
TT is averaging a 5.5 point margin in their 4 Big 12 wins. Their style is mostly conducive to close games. We can win if we move the ball well and play solid on defense.
I'll take ISU 66-64
In conference they average only 64 points, they are not a good offensive team, they hold their opponents under 60 that is how they win.Gritty win, Cyclones showed toughness and concentration at the end to close the game.
And not to take anything away from the Clones, but I was surprised how "meh" Tech was offensively for most of the game. I know their calling card is defense, but I expect better than 41% FG shooting, 40% FT shooting and only 6 assists from the 8th ranked team in the nation.
Some people overeacted others said lets get deeper into the conference season before throwing dirt on the the team ( Not saying you did this))
This team plays defense, they may not always win, but in most cases they will at least give themselves a chance to win.
What if I were to tell you that that same exact coach has no idea how to write up an inbounds play????? Go Cyclones. Great win!!
I don’t think enough people understand how damned tough this conference is going to be top to bottom this year. There aren’t all too many games that I think you could consider a bad loss.
Think it was this game:
Isn't OSU ranked 19th ??
I think Kansas State 2010. They were #5.
McDermott's last win.
And the way I saw it, his first shot wasn't an air ball. It skipped off the far side of the rim.
