I don't know, maybe not throw Conditt on the bench with 3 mins to go when he was playing great? Maybe not have his team look lost in the first half on both sides of the ball? Maybe install something resembling a half court offense, which is something he's failed to do in the the 4 years he's been here?

Even CSP agrees with you re Conditt guarding the basket...see presser....

There was a lot left to desire from the coaching today. Sometimes Prohm is the “I’m going to do these things and play these guys, and I don’t care what happens that is what I will do” and sometimes he’s a tinker man.

He needs to get that sorted out.

So what exactly is the conference record expectation then? We fire him if he's not above .500? In this conference?

I don't think a single year constitutes a basis for firing and perhaps a second season below .500 in the conference can be excused. But if you get to 3 seasons in a row then IMO we have to make a change. We are an awful long way from that right now. But a non-NCAA tournament this season puts him on the hot seat next year and I think that is reasonable given our status as a Top 20-25 program before he took over.

Once again we had open looks that we passed up trying to get better ones only to screw ourselves. If you have the open shot take it. Also, this will probably be unpopular but MJ is pretty worthless SO FAR against good competition. If MJ isn't scoring his minutes need to come down.

If I can find a online replay of the game I will post some screenshots of what I am talking about in sentence 1 above, but first I need to get some client year end work done.

What were your favorite plays from today? Mine was the one where we dribbled it into the lane into 3 defenders and turned it over; think that one happened a few times.

If we missed the tourney this year it’s time for #OtzWatch.

When Lard is healthy I’d like to see large doses of Lard and Conditt. Was pretty proud of Conditt today and from what I’ve see he’s pretty underrated player out of high school.

He needs to get that sorted out.

To be fair he tinkered in the first half and it didn't work, but then he found a lineup in the 2nd half and rode it (other than taking Conditt out).

I'm a Prohm supporter but my gripes with him today are as follows:

1. Played MJ too much
2. When the refs are blatantly as bad as they were today, he needs to rip into them (even get a T).
3. When the team is playing as ****** as they were rip into them at a timeout. When a calmer coach like Prohn does this it has more effect than a coach constantly yelling (I hate to even reference this but see Fran M during the Iowa/NW game last week (puke for having to say that)).

KSU is a good (and big) team, Cam and Solo didn't play, and the refs stunk (including the white ones). The Baylor loss..well, I got nothin'. Everyone, coaches included, need to step up in intensity and execution. They'd be the first to tell you that I'm sure. Hopefully, they'll be fine; just may not see them in Des Moines.

What is the black refs problem?
That black ref is ******* atrocious

No no they aren't. Today was an embarrassing loss at home.

This is a very good assessment of his coaching, and my main issue with him from the get go. He seems to be slow at recognizing the proper players to put in and find a stable rotation.

Also agree with last several thoughts on MJ. This also goes for THT currently. Really good against poor competition, but really struggling at the big 12 level.

I hope he learns to shorten his rotation, find something that works that he can stick with. I personally want to see LW starting with NWB, TH, MS and MJ. Put your more experienced play makers on the court.

This is 2016/17 all over again when we played small ball with 4 guards and Solomon. The only problem there is no Monte and 3 other senior guards to get our offense going.

The good news is that at this point in the season that group was 11-5 with their best win coming over Oklahoma State or Miami. So this team is a step ahead of that group at least.

That group was struggling big time until Prohm finally admitting it he needed at least one competent post. They played much better once Solomon was in the lineup.

Definitely time for LW to start and I don’t really care if it’s for NWB, THT or TH. It will
Open things back up for Shayok in a big way on offense.

This was a bad game. With bad offense.
This team can't seem to find anything if it isn't threes.. and Wigginton needs to figure out how to not fall over if he gets breathed on while driving with the ball. He is constantly falling over and that doesn't do anyone any good.

THT also is bad off the dribble, but specifically at taking shots near the basket. I've seen enough, he is not developed enough at all on the offensive end for Big XII play.

A very bad loss at home, that still should have been a win.

Also.. my God, those refs SUCKED. Holy ****, were they horrendous.

Not sure what constitutes good but KSU is likely an NCAA tourney team.

Had the band back together from last year and they're decent when that's happening. Wade wasn't in typical form but him being out there opened it up for others.

Losing today if both teams are allowed to play and it's more of a shoot out would have been better but to me ISU just wasn't very good.

Well.. Well... Well..... Another close game, another close loss. It's getting to that point of year where we have to wonder if this team is just bad in close games. We've seen teams in our past dominate close games, but we aren't accustomed to teams crapping the bed in close games. While this team has the talent of years past, half way into this 2018-2019 campaign it doesn't look like it has anywhere near the mental makeup of the teams in years past. Okie State was an ok win, but besides that name me a single close win they've had that made you think this team has big balls. Don't see it. They'll finish top half of the Big 12, but they aren't a team that is taken seriously to be the best in the conference. A loss to this type of team with a team struggling badly and their best player sucking it up just to play in this game is a horrific loss. Losing at a team that has our number in Baylor is one thing. Losing to a K-State team that, while they made they Elite 8 last season last season, was on a colossal struggle is an embarrassing. Wigginton has not adapted to having big boy talent around him and has been a dud the entire season. He misses the game deciding 1 and 1 free throw to lose this thing. Why this guy plays in the final minutes is something I can't understand, honestly my only criticism of Prohm now. I'm not calling this team an embarrassment, I'm just saying they are just a run of the mill team. I'm a huge Prohm critic, but I really can't blame him here. I blame the players for choking today. You don't trail them for the final 6:30 then blow it in the last 10 seconds? That's a team with a bad mental makeup. Okie St next Saturday is a MUST MUST MUST MUST MUST win because I definitely don't see them winning 2/3 @Tech, @ KU, and @ Ole Mis. @ Ole Miss isn't as big of a deal, but going 3-4 to start the conference year would be brutal considering they started 2-0. This team has no identity. It's time to find it AS SOON AS FREAKING POSSIBLE!!!!!

Amazing the difference between a one point loss and a one point win. Might as well be on different planets. Two in a row going down on one possession makes it worse.

We’re not that far away. Played solid defense today. Even the shots K State was hitting in the first half were hard ones.

Need to rebound better.

Need to get everyone firing on all cylinders (and playing effectively together).

Might need to mix in a few set plays/wrinkles on offense when we are struggling.

Need to settle in on some regular rotations.
