Last year Lard played better against better competition. We're going to need him Thursday, say what you want about Iowa they are a long team that draws a lot of fouls. If we can't run on them and increase the pace we may want to get Conditt some key minutes in addition to Lard.
That will come. If you can defend the paint like that, you don’t need to do a hell of a lot else. Just rebound and get some put backs.

Iowa's length will be a problem for sure and I'm not even expecting a win there for ISU.
Expect wins the rest of the non-conference though which would be great.
I'll be curious to see what happens with Lard.
Lard is going to take some time to get into the swing of things. Give him some time, you can see him staying behind a bit and then explosively going up for a couple of those blocks. He’s going to knock the rust off in December and will be a huge contributor, maybe even a starter again in January.
That's the kind of stuff that gets you pt with Prohm.

Lard will be fine. He needs to get into the swing of this team, and get in better shape. By the B12 season, we'll be glad we have him.
Talley plays hard. Lard needs to play harder.
