Noland stunk it up tonight. His performance reminded me of one we used to see from Sam Richardson.

Time to start calling for the back-up QB?

Who has "More Upside" this week?

I think Campbell is one of the best HCs we could have ever hired, but his decision to not go out and get a good OC is one of the worst coaching decisions I have ever seen. I just hope he can learn from his failures.

I think the best thing we could hope for at this point (besides actually finding a way to win 6 games) is for Texas Tech to implode in the 2nd half of the season (which we know they will, they showed us the start of it this morning), Texas Tech to move on from the Gosli... err.. Kingsbury Era, and for Matt Campbell to hire pretty boy as our OC in the offseason and retain Heacock. Air-Raid + Heacock D = very dangerous team. I've also had 13 Busch Lattes today so play nice here..

With a decent/average OC we win tonight and quite possibly at Iowa.
Is no one willing to tell Campbell you s*** as an OC? Not good if his "process" includes a my way or the highway clause.
The play calling on the 2(critical) series was pure garbage.

How many did we score last year with Manning?

We weren’t better last year with Manning, we were better on offense when we had Park, or even Lanning.

Zeb checked down to dump off routes. Campbell didn't tell him to do that. I didn't watch the entire game however so I can't make an assessment of the whole product.

What about the Akron or Iowa games last year? I hope you are right but so far the evidence this year is the offense is definitely worse. Go down to Stillwater next week and fail to put up 25+ will pretty much tell us it’s worse.

Not sure where I asked for us to go re-hire Manning. If you can find where I posted that and quote me, I'd appreciate it, because I didn't think I'd drank that much tonight.

None the less, based on our offense under Campbell, he should have looked up and down for a good offensive coordinator to come in.

You guys talking about no fly patterns and every long throw that zeb tried tonight was overthrown by a good 5 yards even for our receivers.

Alot of you wanted a big arm qb and he just ends up like a stanley 2.0 overthrowing or sometimes underthrowing.

This was a game most thought we would lose but hoping we would win at the beginning of the season. Still plenty of football left. No need to go full meltdown just yet.

We had one pass thrown over 20 yds tonight. ONE.

Playing this game? Okay, show me where I said you said that.

We had a well-respected OC and it resulted in the same. Hiring another does nothing in itself.

So Manning was no better than CMC, so it was the defense's fault tonight then?

We don’t necessarily need to attempt a lot of passes on vertical routes or deep passes, but we need to force the opposition to truly commit resources to defend against it. And with a struggling QB, we had a better chance of scoring on a slip-up or missed assignment on those type of routes than we did by dinking and dunking imo.
