Maybe it’s just me and it’s a Friday, but I feel like that’s more of a language quirk than “getting first billing.” I guess you could do something like “Jack Trice Stadium, home to midamerican energy field” but that feels a bit wordy/awkward.
You don't mention the field. Period. The field has nothing to do with the clear bag policy.

Jamie knows what's he's doing and he's always ahead of the curve. And I think this is exactly what's happening here. The only way Campbell stays is if he has the cash to keep the assistants he wants to keep. Jon Heacock rocked the Big 12 last year with his defense. If he does that again he's going to be hard to keep. In the off season Heacock just got a raise from $450k to $650K, which sounds great. Until you find out that the top schools are paying 1.2MM to 1.8MM for their D-Coordinators. I think Campbell is happy with his salary. But the only way to keep him from going to an tOSU is to give him the resources to keep key coaches. An extra $1.5MM isn't a ton of money but it's enough to give his coaching staff solid raises next year if we do win 10 games. Jamie just hedged his bets and set us up to keep our coach. Call me tickled pink.

Except that that’s what they paid 15 million for, to be mentioned by the AD’s office.

And other than the athletic department, nobody is going to refer to it by the full name. TV won't. Newspapers won't. Radio won't (other than ISU radio). Other media won't.

Everyone has their shorts in a twist for nothing.

No. No they are not. Why do you think that?
Someone was saying it on the radio yesterday for why Mid American would do this. Made sense the way they presented it, but not sure how accurate it is.

Just wait until you see wind turbines in the parking long and on top of the stadium.

It does seem to be about the windiest place in Iowa.

Wont happen. There is not enough corn and bean fields around JTS for them to destroy as they put them up.

I think when a company has a monopoly like Mid American, they're required to spend a certain amount of money on advertising.

I don't know if this is the same thing but it could be, our local phone company is required by law to bill at a certain rate. They also are restricted by law to how much they can give back to their shareholders (customers). If the something similar is true with Mid American, they could have a pile of money they have to spend on something. Since they get federal money to help them improve and keep up most of their infrastructure they may need to spend money somewhere.

Trust me. I know. There’s no requirement other than to communicate about safety and that can take many forms. But certainly doesn’t have anything to do with naming rights

Has something to do with the lack of respect they have when putting up turbines.

Don't want to go cave on this, genuinely curious how farmland is damaged when it becomes mixed use with energy. It's obvious to imagine disruption the year they are initially installed, but what about after that?

Obviously saw it a lot in Iowa and Illinois for many years. I work in the north edge of LA metro now where it becomes dozens of types of fruits and vegetables everywhere and seeing more wind farms amongst those farms/orchards too now.

Naming rights is one of the things that I don't like about NASCAR. In the TV listings in the newspaper, they don't even list the race track anymore. For instance, I don't want to watch the "Huggies Diapers 500", but I do want to watch the Michigan 500. The Iowa Corn races solve the problem nicely.

Wanna bet? For instance, TV certainly will, as they will be encouraged to by ISU. You know, as they do at other venues around the country...
