This location seems so odd to me but most of the time, these guys seem to get it right.

Ever been on the bike trail on Tuesday or Wednesday night... I'm guessing close to 500 or more cyclists are on it between 4 pm and 10 pm. Plus with the expanded Veterans Parkway, and 3 new housing developments in the area, it makes all the sense in the world.

Plus, Norwalk doesn't have many places to eat. And not everyone wants to drive to West Des Moines to eat.

I've worked for Full Court for the past 5 years, both full time and now part time. If there's anything they excel at, it's market research and doing something right. One of the owners sat on the bike trail on a random Thursday for a few hours and counted over 300 bikers. That's 300 people forced to see your establishment. With the oversized chicken they just planted by the bike trail, this will help even more. Zoom out to 5 years, Veteran's Parkway will be joined up to 35 and eventually 80 out in Waukee. The long term plan for this restaurant is well thought out.

I live in Orilla (West Des Moines) out past the Chicken and Outskirtz. I'll be super glad when the Chicken opens their doors. Outskirtz is fine for bikers, but the bar is a towny dive bar with spray paint art on the side. It's not exactly a classy joint or a place I'd frequent.

Some more...and this changes freaking daily sometimes. Obviously there is going to be chicken on the menu, but lots of different types. Broasted, Nashville Hot Chicken, smoked, grilled, whatever. There are also going to be pizzas, and deep dish from the looks of the pans. I'm sure there will be normal sit down area's inside, but from how I understand it, you'll be able to pick your food up at a window if you're seated outside, which should make it super convenient for bikers. The patio looks massive and it looked like they were paving the parking lot today maybe? Either way, this is going to be a great spot and I can't wait.

Ever wonder why you see bars around bike trails.... Cyclists love beer and good food and are willing to spend money at places that support them.

Cycling is a hobby for those with a disposable income.

Not saying that’s a bad thing.

Hate to say it but prepare to be underwhelmed. I like that it's one of few local dining options in Bettendorf but it's overpriced for burgers. The shakes are amazing but more of a once-a-year thing for me. I like that they do different specials every weekend which has drawn me in a couple times (brisket mac and cheese deliciousness). I wonder if the new location will have beer from Five Cities Brewery which recently opened by the same owner.

Yeah I see/smell them all the time when I visit places like 515, Confluence, etc. I'll visit a place like this in the winter.

Someone should of told me that before I started... I didn't have any disposable income then, and I still don't.

Plus, not everyone is riding around on $5000 carbon bikes. My favorite bike is a $500 cheap bikes direct gravel bike....

My wife is going to St. Kilda this weekend.

We also went to Republic on Grand a couple weeks ago. That place is pretty cool, as well.

We're also debating hitting that Black Cat ice cream window joint after!

FYI they have really weird hours.

Only open 1-6 and closed on Sunday and Monday.

Yeah, my wife and I have been wanting to take our kids there but their weekend hours make it kind of difficult. I would've thought Sunday afternoons would be prime time for business in the summertime but evidently not.

Makes little sense to me. Why not just be closed more days during the week and open on Sunday? I can’t imagine Tuesday at 3pm is a prime time for ice cream.

Thank you SO much for the head's up - that is, like, European hours. Bizarre!
