Looks like Louisville is highly interested in Xavier’s Chris Mack. Mack is a Xavier alum, so that could be interesting.

He’s been named so many times for some great jobs and he never goes. Keeps his leverage high at a job he’ll probably never leave. Genius.

Willard would be smart to bolt now since his team was full of seniors. They'll be pretty bad next year and the year after likely.

Would be smart also for UMBC coach to try to get a job at a better mid major school. His stock has peaked likely. Vermont is a decent low major school that will be tough to take out in the next couple years if he stays.

Possibly, but Pitt has had something like 9 players from this last season's awful team already ask for their release. Willard might be facing a rebuilding job with Seton Hall, but I cannot imagine it's as drastic and dire as the situation is at Pitt.

As for UMBC, I saw something about how the AD there is going to try and do everything possible to keep Odom there, which might be easier said than done with the limited resources they can provide. That dude can coach.

Willard is a long time Pitino disciple, wonder if Louisville would ever look. They probably want fresh blood.
His dad was the coach during some bad years at Pitt.

Is that really a better job than Seton Hall?
Big East salaries via google, so I'd say that Pitt probably is a better job. These numbers seem on the low end, so maybe there is compensation some other way.

Villanova’s Jay Wright: $2,585,041

Providence’s Ed Cooley: $2,204,030

Xavier’s Chris Mack: $1,668,930

Seton Hall’s Kevin Willard: $1,633,750

Creighton’s Greg McDermott: $1,326,553
