Dynamic lead guard Tyler Harris is having a productive senior season, and a number of programs are in pursuit.

According to Harris' travel team coach Norton Hurd, Baylor and Clemson are the latest to offer Harris, 5-9 and out of Cordova (Tenn.) High School.

Tennessee is expected to watch Harris tonight.

And Iowa State, Memphis and Mississippi State have all visited Harris multiple times this month. Colorado State is also a strong contender to land Harris.

Ranked No. 129 in the 247Sports Composite, Harris is a polarizing prospect in the industry. Some see him as an undersized volume shooter. Others, including myself, view him as an elusive playmaker who can put up points in bunches.

I don't think we end up getting him, and I think we will all be very sad about it by the end of his career seeing what he does elsewhere.

I think Matt had a better and more ready for college body. I think this off season we will see Lewis put some muscle on and really work on his game.

I think you take him. We have been short players because of injury and sitting out because of transferring in. I would rather have more talent competing for playing time every year.

If you can get Tyler Harris, you take Tyler Harris. Fantistic four year player, vs one year out of a grad transfer, which isn't Prohm's recruiting forte anyway.

This. Exactly This. Tyler Harris is a top 60ish ranked player. The kid could be a staple of our program. We don't have any glaring weaknesses next year that need to be addressed. Even if we did, no guarantees you land an impact 5th year transfer. You don't pass on 4 years of a elite guard to strike out on the transfer market.

If there happens to be a sit one, play two or three stud transfer that is available I'd be all for it though.

If they pass the new transfer rule....the one where no sitting out if you transfer due to coach leaving or fired, will it take effect for 2018-19 season already?

Saw KU just picked up a commit from a recently offered KC area kid. Apparently late riser and was starting to get a lot of attention. Article mentions ISU was showing interest. Recently offered by KU, Oregon, Texas A&M, and Wisconsin with Ok State and WVU also expressing interest. What is interesting is that they are still in the running for Langford which I think means 2 of these 3 will be gone after this year: Cunliffe, Vick and Newman.

I wish we could use our "banked" scholarship from this year to carry an extra player next year.
