LOL had to include wrestling to get that.

Not really, Ohio State has a much better wrestling program than isu but they still can't make the same claim.

No different than isu touting women's volleyball attendance.

Schools shouldn't include wrestling at all in the national attendance ranking. Many schools don't have a wrestling program and even if they do, no one cares.

Volleyball shouldn't be included, either, however I'd bet most schools have a volleyball program.

Really if any school wants to get into a **** measuring contest about fan support at a national level, generally football and MBB are the top two, and maybe add in WBB.

Probably bc your only tradition is losing. Your fanbase is so starved for any kind of success they'd probably sell their first born for a mere taste of what Iowa experiences on a regular basis. I mean look at how over the top your fanbase is after a few years of decent basketball? Never seen a goofier, arrogant, full-of-themselves fanbase after a couple years of mild succeed.
These goof balls supported their teams inspite of their lack of success. It's their support that has kept the hope alive and in turn kept the program alive when others would have withered. It's that support that continues to buoy the team and it's that same support that will surpass your program.

The shrill lamentations of your fans and coaches are just early death knell's of the inevitable. There is a sea change and all your protests won't stop it. The times are a changing.

Iowa will probably be the one of the only schools for the third year in a row to be Top 25 Nationally in attendance for Football, MBB, WBB and Wrestling.
But not rankings, yikes.

I see it as a combination of things at Iowa:

1. Poor marketing (Murph and Andy went on about this yesterday and had some great points)./
2. Price gouging.
3. Parking and logistics is a disaster. If you live in Des Moines, you aren't getting home until at least 2 AM.
4. Team plays for the most part a boring style of play, their own fans have said this.
5. Iowa has a large fan base, but how many of them actually spend money towards the university? I know many Iowa fans that have never stepped foot in Iowa City.
6. This one is more of a guess, but maybe there is a feeling Penn State will roll them?

If you haven't noticed if Jeff's name gets used a lot he sort of disappears into the shadows.
Still has the raincoat wide open but definitely in the shadows.

It's sort of the reverse Beetlejuice effect.

Another crazy thing. Can you believe Pollard only makes like double of what Barta makes? Talk about a heck of a deal we're getting if you compare the two.
