5-3, and 8-4 is a major disappointment. That's how it works with programs with high expectations.

How's that work? I think that's on par for a good season at Iowa, with a few 9-10ers in there.

I suppose compared to last year, but there can't be too many people who expected a 12-0 season with exception to some of their, um, 'super fans'.

FWIW it's worth I think they get Michigan...no idea how. I think Harbaugh short circuits and can't get it right. Great coach, but weird dude.

Nah, Raisin Face is the best ever. You must be thinking of Hayden Fox, Luther probably didn't make halftime adjustments.

There was an episode where Minnesota State made a bowl and played Iowa, and got clobbered IIRC. There may or may not be Iowa fans with a laminated poster of the score.

Well, there are only 2 comments and they're pretty tame, so I'm guessing they deleted a bunch.

Going for the FG when down 14-6 isn't that bad. With that much time left it gives them the opportunity to still get the ball back and a TD would give them the lead, if they had made the FG. Going for it on 4th and getting stuffed gets you nothing.
I was agreeing with your first sentence, by the way. :)

I didn't really have a problem with the way he coached that honestly.

With game flow that was the wrong play IMO. Best drive of the day, best chance at a TD, only needed to get 5 yards to extend the drive and try to tie it up.

I must not understand how betting works in Vegas. I thought Vegas did everything they could with the line to make sure there was equal dollars bet on both sides, and then they made their money on the amount they charge you to place a bet.

If that's the case, how could 93% of the money be wagered on Wisky? Wouldn't they have just moved the line more and more to encourage people to bet on Iowa?

Either way he needed an onside kick, which means regardless of whether he had a TD or FG on that drive it was a longshot he was going to win.

No they didn't, this whole thing is in reference to 5 minutes left and 4th and 5 on the 20 down 8. Score and a 2pt conversion and it's a tie ball game. They missed the FG on top of it

Current Sagarin S.O.S. is 60 behind such perennial powers as Indiana, Duke, Northwestern, Wake Forest, Illinois, Kentucky, Rutgers, Kansas, and Vandy.
If only Iowa could play in the big 12 the offense would look spectacular and they'd without a doubt be minimum 6-2 right now.

It's too bad someone didn't warn you about expectations under Ferentz before the season started. I'm sure that person would have been mocked though if he did...
Nobody could have foreseen just how legit most of Iowa opponents would be this season. Plus, with all the injuries on the line and in the receiving Corp, not much you can do about it. Kf does what he can with what he has.
