edit - private schools not showing and this doesn't include WVU because it's old.

methinks this might be one of the 'intangibles' this new staff helps with. With nearly zero social media presence, what 'value' did our program provide to clothing mfr's beyond our limited value as another one of the many schools on TV?

eh I doubt football will have much to do with any apparel change for ISU. Adidas isn't paying Kansas all that money to get their logo on Kansas football games nobody is watching.

Looking at the pdf of the contract, it was created in 2007 and runs through 2018. ISU still has a couple years to go with this setup.

Time to switch to UA

UNI was all ready to switch to UA (in everything but Men's Basketball) two years ago but the footwear is so terrible that they sent it all back and re-upped with Nike the next day. They had football cleats that were literally breaking and falling apart in the first half of a spring football practice. Just awful stuff.

This is embarrassing...

The fact that Nike was willing to give ISU free gear in 2008 is rather impressive.

Still is honestly. We really haven't done much to help make the Nike brand visible.

Campbell seems like he is willing to change that trend and embrace the current Uniform "arms race."

I definitely could see Iowa State switch to UA when this awful Nike deal expires in two years.

Campbell was at Toledo when they switched from Russell to UA so that might play a small role.

If Nike is paying us jack **** then maybe UA would pay us a mediocre amount for a Power 5 school... which would still be a huge increase.
