The latter claim seems more significant to me. But it is really only relevant if Williamson and Ellis felt the same way - AND there is evidence that the disparate treatment of seniors was specifically because of their race.

My guess is they were treated differently because Moody was one of them and he couldn't just single her out.

The her side of the story (i.e. the lawsuit) should attempt to lay out the facts that this was the case.

The facts as laid out indicate two things to me: Ms. Moody was singled out for disparate treatment (Fennelly clearly didn't like her) and the 3 black seniors (Moody, Williamson and Ellis) were not treated like previous senior classes.

The latter claim seems more significant to me. But it is really only relevant if Williamson and Ellis felt the same way - AND there is evidence that the disparate treatment of seniors was specifically because of their race.

So you clearly don't believe her. That's fine. But she thinks there was racial motivation for what he was doing. There are many times she claims he did stuff for white players rather than black. So if she's not lying, that's what she thinks.

Unless someone in this thread was present for these events, it's just whether or not you believe her or not. And you can't know how she felt when he said things like this (ie whether he just didn't like her or he didn't like her because she was black).

She could be lying for all I know. I haven't speculated one way or the other.

It's possible we're all burying the lede here, because this line from Hines' Twitter feed could possibly have NCAA repercussions for all sports (if proven true): "Moody's lawsuit also alleges that ISU athletic dept. 'only wanted athletes to pursue majors that could be manipulated by athletics staff.'"

Lol. Getting in trouble with the NCAA for all sports because of ******* womens basketball would be the most Iowa State thing ever.

Woof, just read through the whole lawsuit claims. Seriously, the fact she did not make the WNBA was because Bill had his friend cut her?

Some hard to believe stuff in there. If a fraction proves to be true it will be super bad. Even if none is true Fennelly is likely finished IMHO. Based on history he isn't going to get much benefit of the doubt. I think Nebraska used the same sort of stuff to get Yori to resign although I think NU was actively looking for an excuse to cut Yori loose.

I generally disagree that he's finished unless the racial stuff proves to be true. Or unless Leath is tired of his act (the part about Mrs. Leath talking to Ms. Moody at graduation was interesting...).

But if he does step down - I'd assume this also puts a huge damper on the Billy Fennelly succession plan, right?

I thought the same thing. The same friend that probably had some say in Moody being drafted in the first place only to cut her because BF said so?? Weak sauce on that.

Crap like that just dilutes her case. She should have stuck to the real (alleged) issues.

She's trying to make a case of retaliation because it looks like she previously filed an EEO complaint at ISU against Bill last spring. WNBA is trying to set up a roster to win. Nobody is going to cut someone solely becasue some college coach didn't like them

Who all were involved in the Bingley situation? If it was primarily Moody's class then you can't discount that contributing to a different perspective on the leadership of that particular senior class.

Dude, you're a good poster, but you're coming off as the classic defensive family member right now.
