Lackey was a Card for 1.5 years...Heyward for 1.

Theriot was a Cub for 5.5 years and no Cubs were upset he played for the Cards.

Thought the same thing. Both Miller and Heyward are great players, but Miller makes that rotation great...Cards could've found their own outfielder through FA without trading him.
