Best case scenario:

TJ goes to SDSU, is successful, and is coaching in a P5 program in the next 5 years.

Worst case scenario:

TJ goes to SDSU, sucks balls, finds a P5 assistant coaching gig where he gets paid nearly the same as the HC job at SDSU.

How does everyone know what the SDSU AD will offer TJ? For all we know, they realize they need to expand their budget to get the guy they want.

If he waits one more year, there is a good chance that Missouri State would come open. That's a job with a brand new arena, Wal-Mart money, and in an area that is growing like crazy. Plus, you can get into the tournament without winning the league tournament in the Valley, you can't in the Summit.

The State of Missouri, a new arena and Wal-mart money... Feels like I have seen this before...

I won some national titles at SDSU on 2k8. It's a program just waiting to explode as long as they have a Nate Wolters clone ready to roll.

Sounds like SDSU is a "sleeping giant" as a few fanatics like to say about any program.

Good grief people. TJ is a great recruiter, but he's not the only great recruiter around. We also somehow survived when he left last time (without a hitch).

That's because we had Fred. Then Fred had to recruit more and it burned him out.

Hence why he's said over and over he hated recruiting.

if that's true Fred was an idiot of hiring Sadler to replace TJ.

Hmmm... Terrance Allen, Ronnie Harris, Ronnie Virgil, Sam Hill, Barry Stevens, Jeff Grayer, Jeff Hornacek, Elmer Robinson, Marcus Fizer, Jamaal Tinsley, Kantrail Horton, Kelvin Cato, Dedric Willoughby, Jake Sullivan, Curtis Stinson, Will Blaylock, Rahshon Clark,...

Geesh. TJ is clearly an excellent recruiter, and it will be tough to lose him, but it's not like no other assistants have ever recruited good players to Ames (see above). It can be done. It'll be on Prohm to figure that out. He and his staff did recruit a couple NBA guards to Murray State... I think there's a good chance he can do it. Good luck to TJ if he goes.
