Anyone know why he redshirted his sophomore year? I assume it was an injury. Looks to be healed just fine whatever it was, though.

Hearing that Iowa State is starting to get involved with Christian Jones, a 6-foot-7 4-man out of St. Johns. He's an immediately eligible grad-transfer. Averaged 8.4 and 5.2 last year.

Hmm. I won't criticize a freshman season, but what was he doing his SO/JR years? And numbers on a team like St. Johns last year have to be taken with a grain of salt. They were bad. But if he can defend and rebound then I'll take him!

I guess at this point I would probably take Davis over him, but I'll be honest and say haven't seen either play.

Obvious ups... dude is thick, looks like he'd be a good big-man fit for a an up-tempo offense. Not a lot of highlight tape to look at his in-game skills.

Oh gosh.

Last time we tried the "stick it back to them" tactic we traded Rashad Vaughn for BDJ. Not that either were great, but we all know how that ended.

Then again, SJU kind of got its comeuppance last season.

Overall: 8-24, .250 W-L% (325th of 351)
Conference: 1-17, 10th

At least they beat Rutgers. That mighty B1G school there.

Not that Darien Williams did much, either...

So the coaching staff is banking on one/two transferring still then I take it. Just wondering because no information has come out about the individual meetings last week yet.

I'm guessing this means Livingston wasn't as interested in Iowa St, as Iowa St was in him.
