Why do they insist on the CFP title game being on a Monday night? Semifinals are on Thurs 1/8 and Fri 1/9. Why not have the title game on Saturday 1/17 so people can actually make a party out of it without having to get up and go back to work on Tuesday. So f*cking stupid.
Well ok if they want to be all logical and strategic and financially smart but it still sucks that they're not thinking about me in all this.
Somehow, in today's environment and the lack of ethics, it would seem highly unlikely for a school, even BYU, to dismiss a starting returning QB of this caliber. There's just no reason to shoot yourself in the foot anymore. No one will even raise an eyebrow when he starts their first game.
Is it possible that decision is because it can have effect on AP poll, which seems to extend closely to CFP ranking?
Based on some responses to the tweet thread, there's reference to how Big 12 was so "upside down" in 2024 with preseason projection compared to actual.
It seemed pretty clear that the "inertia" of the media's preseason poll had an effect on the other rankings as the season went on.

What if ASU/CU/BYU/ISU were picked in the top 4 preseason? Chances are all 4 would have started the year in the Top 25 and been ranked higher throughout the season.
