This team is perfectly fine playing at a slow pace. Its a slow pace with defensive breakdowns and giving up offensive rebounds that kills us. I'd take our half court offense over anyone else in the country.

i checked around the inter webs for another strategy....Sandler suggests we try a medium pace.

Brogdon is good, big guard. I'm guessing Thomas will be on him

Would be surprised if Nader isn't on Brogdon. Extremely similar body types. Brogdon is a defensive stopper he reminds me of Shane Battier. Not an offensive juggernaut by any means. It'll be interesting if they try to put Brogdon on Niang. If Niang can draw a couple quick fouls on him could be great news.

Edit: Brogdon is putting up 18 a game. I personally think we've seen better offensive players in Hield, Ellis but we will see how the cookie crumbles.

Gonna be tough to get the win. They are Baylor big and strong and that is hard on us.

The one thing about Virginia is since they play at such a slow pace, you are never out of it.

We just have to dictate tempo.

I don't know if anybody ever really dictates tempo on UVA. They just don't let it happen.

We will have at least 10,000 fans in attendance. I like our chances

Uh...... how can that happen? We barely could get tickets to Denver with a lot of the locals atending the game. Even scalpers had very few tickets. Felt bad that so many ISU fans didn't get in tonight. Doubt Chicago will be any better. Don't they sell out to all the corporate sponsors, etc. ?

Nader is longer, but Thomas is the better defender. Brogdon is listed at 6'5 215 while Thomas is at 6'4 195, so he's giving up a little bit of size. I wonder if we'll try to play some zone; not sure if Virginia is a good 3 point shooting team or not

Well their message board sucks. The only real info is a consistent call to put "Brogdon" on Georges. They seem to be be very worried about him. If they play a slower game that's fine by me that would work to our advantage IMO. I feel confident we will pull out a win. Cyclones are locked and loaded. Bout time another #1 seed fell.

Yeah, but their offensive rebounding rate isn't anything like Baylor. That's what really gives this team fits.

Well after 'trying' to read through the UVA boards it's clear which college invented the electronic computer. Holy **** that's bad....I feel like I went back in time to the 90's.

Ok...I think UVA is a very solid club. I think we've got more skill than what we've showed this season. We seem to be highly focused as a team and that's not something I'd say about this group up to this point.

They're a slow Kansas. Beatable but we have to play very well. They are very efficient at both ends but are not flashy outside of shooting the three very well. They don't force turnovers a lot and they will turn it over. They don't offensive rebound all that well but they don't let you have any. Essentially, they are the picture of a really solid team that you have to beat because they aren't doing it for you.

If we play like we did today I am confident we could beat anybody in the country minus maybe how KU is playing.

I'd say they're like UNI only with more talent and even better coaching.
