Haven't seen this posted but have we heard bak from the Big 12 in regards to the review of the game?

I know everyone is saying our defense had chances to stop OSU on 3rd down's but cmon!! If any of us were out there getting screwed w/o Lube time and time again we would be tired of the crap as well. I'm not sure how JP and CPR can put up with the officiating. Thes calls are made in favor of the other team time and time again at crucial points in the game. Hell look at KSU game last year when they said Jarvis fumbled and obtw that was at the end of the game. END RANT

Screw jobs happen to everyone. Other teams just dont need every possible break to go their way to win.

LOL. Tell me about all the times that Kansas has gotten screwed when they have played Iowa State in Basketball.

Tell us all about the times the marquee teams have gotten screwed when they play Iowa State in Football.

There should be an equal amount.

Ellaborate what breaks we did get?

Ryen TD overturned
replay 3rd down after we stopped them
missed 1st down call that didnt need to be reviewed as it was easily noticed especially with a line judge 5 yards away.

Multiple holding calls that we didnt get?? So you tell me how other teams dont have any of those go there way?? Along with the Tech TD that the players foot was clearly on the line and they ruled it a TD!! Other teams dont get the shaft this many times along with when they review a play they always overturn it in the other teams favor unless the game either is out of reach or does not matter at the time of game.

Tell me about all the times Kansas has lot to ISU because of one or two bad officiating calls. Tell me about the time the same thing has happened with a marquee program against ISU football.

Point is, bad calls happen all the time. KU basketball and marquee football programs are usually able to play through them and not let them affect the outcome of the game.

ISU football sucks, and when we lose so many close games, those calls become the forefront. Truth is our coaching staff has yet to figure out how to overcome bad calls.

Here’s the statement:

“Game officials determined the second-down completion to be short of the yard-to-gain making it third-down. National guidelines are for replay not to shut the game down to review spots on first or second down unless there was an obvious error, which was not the case here even though the spot appears to be short of where the receiver went to the ground. Coaches are granted measurements upon request outside of two minutes when the ball is marked within a yard of the yard-to-gain and the Referee did not have reason to feel the spot was incorrect to call for a measurement himself. Although not general practice for replay to stop the game on first or second down, there are situations at certain times of the game that allow flexibility from the national guideline even if an obvious error is not observed; circumstances like time, score or field position could rise to the level of a direct, competitive impact play that the Replay Official could judge to be sufficient to warrant a stoppage. As part of our review of the game, and understanding in this unique situation how the original decision of third down could have been misinterpreted by the head coach, we will use this play like many others to continue our goal of officiating the game to the highest level possible. Had the Replay Official determined this situation met the flexibility allowance outside the standard protocol, we would have supported a decision to stop play for review, however this specific situation is not one in which standard procedures were not followed. Like many plays, there will always be the fine line between stopping plays when obvious errors are made and not stopping plays even if minor errors are made. That gray area is where we are constantly working to be consistent and will continue to be a point of emphasis in our evaluation and training of both our field and replay officials.”

Until we stop having the attitude that we get screwed out of games (and I get it we've gotten bad calls over the years), we're always going to be "almost good enough"

Dear Paul,

We feel your pain. We are sorry about the ball placements. They were mistakes.

We are sorry that we needed OSU to win for ratings.

Our sincere apology and super condolences,

Translation: we might have screwed you, but we're going to write a wall of text that makes you think we didn't.

Calls even out over the course of a game. It makes the Cyclones look like chumps when people whine about the officiating. Get over it.

Dear Iowa State,

If you were really a good team you could overcome the fact that we constantly screw you over with bad calls. But don't ask why we have to help our "good teams" by screwing over a bad team like yourself. Just accept the TV money and bend over.
