What about Arya, is she going to be the next virgin prostitute for the perve and kill him?

Yea, I assume she "volunteers" to be the new fresh one, then kills Trant.

Although, the more I think about it, GOT rarely sets things up so straight forward. She has been lying to the Faceless Man, so maybe she gets herself in a pickle there.

His army is supposed to be made up of fanatical devotees to the Red God. They burned anyone who disagreed back in Dragonstone. Of course, in the show, he has sell swords. So, maybe some would have dispersed after seeing him burn his own daughter at the stake.

Depends, mainly on where the sell swords are from.

If Stannis is using Westerosi sell swords, perhaps those are more easily offended. Then again, it's amazing what people are willing to turn a blind eye to when money is involved.

Then again, Stannis is funded by the Iron Bank of Braavos, and perhaps with that funding Stannis has access to the world-renown sell swords of Essos. Worship of R'hllor is much more prevalent in Essos, so perhaps they would be much less offended by a king sacrificing his daughter to the Red God in order to secure a victory over an enemy.

They also may be less offended since Shireen has visible (cured) greyscale.

The thing that keeps coming to my mind throughout the series is how badass of a warrior Tyrion is for someone of his stature. Of course Tyrion will never be a great warrior, but he expertly cut down that Harpy while protecting Missandei.

Didn't Davos report the week before that the sellswords bailed on the army?

For everyone who was worried, Shireen is fine. She even got to take home a keepsake from the episode:

The fire apparently cured her grey scale as well!

This kinda stuff is what needs to bring people back to reality that are angry with a show. It's not real, remember that. The last 3-4 weeks of dealing with the "I'm offended" club on reaction/podcast/blogs has been insufferable.

are there people angry about it? I hope not. The scene was definitely jarring. And, in the scope of the show, it made me like the character of Stannis less than I did before. But it's all part of a story. A story that's 100% fictional. Getting upset at the direction that a story takes is ridiculous.

Oh yes. The crying about this season is almost constant

I'd read several articles on the Sansa/Ramsay wedding night, that were full of silly outrage, but hadn't seen much on Shireen's death, yet.

It bugs me that some of these outlets seem to expect the show to conform to modern day social norms, specifically the show's depiction of sexual violence. I just find that ridiculous. It's fantasy. It's a story depicting a brutal world, very different from our own. period. end. That's it. Is there more sexual violence in the GOT world than in ours? Sure. More Dragons too. And giants, white walkers, 3 eyed crows, red gods, telepaths, dire wolves, etc. etc. etc.

I knew it was coming too. You kind of had to know it was coming unless you expected Stannis to give up on the Lord of Light.

I figured Melissandre would convince Selyse to do it behind Stannis' back. I DIDN'T expect Stannis to agree to it though and I held out hope that Davos would intervene even up until the last minute.

Sweet last two episodes. I bet Bran takes over one of the Dragons in the near future.

As do I. I assume Dany will have a kinship with Drogon, and someone else will control the other 2. One being bran, the other.... who knows, maybe Tyrion :jimlad:

She's a cutie. If she were my daughter I'd certainly be investing in my 2nd Amendment rights (and make sure I was "cleaning" the guns when she brought the boys over).
