Okay, going to probably crush this squad but it is the regular opener.

Fernstrom with 12 of our first 14 points. Big start for the freshman in front of a big contingent down for the game from Minnesota.

Fernstrom is killing it today. Nice stroke from three today too.

This team overall is really going to have to work on their defense though, if they want to make any noise this season.

Interesting with all of the depth talk over the first 30 minutes we have really only played 6 gals for any significant minutes. Just token minutes for Bell and Durr and the others.

I'd say more 7. Without looking at the numbers, it feels Kidd and Ricketts have gotten some decent minutes off the bench.

Slapping myself all over for missing the first half of this game. Remembered it in just the nick of time. Got to watch the last 12:42 on cyclone Tv. Looks like the freshman are rather talented. Look forward to more games. There was too much football on TV today, I'll try not to forget next time. Good luck ladies.

Weird considering the were much hyped recruits, especially Durr.

Seniors in front of them this year so with Moody back they will get less minutes. The team this years needs the posts from the freshman class and Fernstrom certainly started nicely.

The other thing is I thought maybe Kidds minutes might be up for grabs, didn't think she played all that well last year but so far this year (exhibitions and all) she has looked really good.

I just don't understand why we basically use a 7 person rotation. There are games where we are bound to get in foul trouble and have to count on others to step up.

I think it will probably change a bit going forward. Fernstrom, Brynn and Seanna were all having a monster game, so it was hard to pull them, and Moody and Buckley are strong at the guards, so I think rotations were minimal. I think we'll see more of Durr, Ricketts and Bell as they progress in the season.

Heck, did Fallon-Ellis even get in at all before the end of the game? And she was the first or second off our bench last year.

Durr is going to be a good one; she has shown flashes on offense and is learning the defense. But she has not been stellar (maybe to be expected from a freshmen with minutes in three games). I though Emily would come in strong. Bill mentioned her as one most ready to compete. Happy for Fernstrom but against bigger experienced posts she will be tested and bested.
