Idiotic lol. well cool he also won more games while he was here.
Yep, and two our of every four seasons he got to play what was often a pretty easy schedule.

This.It was not the fact we lost, or even the fact the point differential was 21. It is the fact we are at a disadvantage most every week due to not making fundamental football plays that even overmatched teams can make. When you get curb-stomped by FCS teams two years in a row, you have some major issues in your football fundamentals (development, scheme, player knowledge, etc). Minus a few outlier games, we know roughly how "well" ISU will play under CPR. The questions are reduced to will the opposition out-stumble us and will we have superior effort. Iowa did. KU will, and we probably out-effort them too, hence comfortable wins. If it is cold, WVU may be close due to WVU not wanting to be there.
And didn't they (Baylor) go 3 and out to start the game?
Yes. But there was a bobbled snap and a dropped pass on that drive for Baylor. Neither were influenced by the defense, though you could argue they were influenced by the crowd.
No matter how you slice it the Big 12 is NOT the Big 12 with Nebraska, Missouri and Texas A&M. So its a moot point and Texas today is junk compared to back then.Yep, and two our of every four seasons he got to play what was often a pretty easy schedule.
To be fair, part of the strategy of the bend but don't break relies on the offense making a few mistakes.

The sentiment around here is really weird today. I came away from yesterday's game with a positive feeling and thought others would as well. I don't really care who the coach is I see both positives and negatives in firing Rhoads but this isn't the game that should be taking people over the top.

Haha mute point. You have no idea what you're talking about. Talk out of your ***, get called on it, and continue making stuff up.

I miss both those years, when we pounded K-State...Yep, those 2004 and 2005 schedules McCarney had were real tough.![]()

I could care less who the coach is, just win.
This is not really a meltdown though. It is more just the building discontent that has been ongoing since the end of 2012. Sure, some may let pillow-fight victories over uninspired or equally inept teams give them a week's worth of amnesia, but this is not a meltdown. Notice how most threads disperse from the game last night into wide angle complaints. It truly is a new day in Cyclone football when the fan base has this kind of meltdown over a 21 point loss to that caliber of team. The quantity of posters that will get on and complain and rip CW for headlines is sad but also shows how far we have come that people even care.

I said going into the game that I would be satisfied if ISU scored over 30, and kept Baylor under 50. That being said, ISU's offense needs to score more points, period. The defense is impressing me, and getting better each week. The offense is staying status quo. ISU had two weeks to inject some more life into the offense, and to me, it was still much of the same.
