We have had offensive struggles with some glimpses of fantastic of which we saw several plays last night.

Baylor has the best front four we had faced with at least one of them being NFL draft worthy (Oakman). Yes, we had two weeks to prepare, but like all the pundits were saying, "How good is Baylor really?" after their very comfy non-con schedule that amounted to scrimmages to get in sync prior to conf play.

Well, now we have an idea of how good Baylor is. Let's stop acting like we had two weeks to magically become the better football team when we simply are not. Nor is the rest of the conference.

Yeah...again, I just wanted to see both sides of the ball improve this week. Im not seeing it from the offense at all. In the Big 12, you need to average over 30 points per game.

Consistency is really what I want to see. This Jekyll/Hyde crap is for the birds. Honestly, the entire fan base is tired of lows of lows that come often with a few very highs thrown in. It's a tease. No one likes a tease.

See if you still say that after 20 years of marriage. Sometimes a tease lets you know you still have a pulse. Its all good and safe because....well, it was only a tease.:pwink:

This is not really a meltdown though. It is more just the building discontent that has been ongoing since the end of 2012. Sure, some may let pillow-fight victories over uninspired or equally inept teams give them a week's worth of amnesia, but this is not a meltdown. Notice how most threads disperse from the game last night into wide angle complaints.

Here's my deal. With what we know now, here is my order of games from most dissapointing from a margin standpoint to least disappointing:

NDSU
Iowa
Baylor
KSU

We just lost to a team that I think will make the playoffs by three scores. That's not great but it's progress. We went wire to wire with a team that should have beaten one of, if not the best SEC teams out there. I still think there's hope for wins. OSU isn't great. TTU might be pretty bad, TCU is okay, Texas isn't that great. I don't trust WVU. Kansas is obviously not good. Really, outside of Oklahoma, I'm not "scared" of anyone. I saw something last night that I didn't see last year in any game after Texas. That team fought. Hell, they had a chance to get themselves back in it in the third quarter. People forget that we were competitive in at least the first half of all but two games last year. It's not like we stepped on the field and got torched immediately.

Say what you want about Iowa, but they do the same thing year after year on offense and defense. There is no deception, no wrinkles - just execution that has resulted in winning seasons over the long haul.

I want our offense to be our offense and recognizable not just game to game but year to year. I want to plug in new pieces and have all the kids so well drilled they execute the schemes in their sleep.

And I want an aggressive attacking defense and am totally willing to live with giving up a few big plays to see our defense playing downhill TOWARDS the line of scrimmage.

Be careful CW, if you don't word your headline perfectly it will suddenly become evident to everyone on this board that you are solely responsible for the loss.
