Jeremy, I know you are going to get hammered by some if you are wrong on the Harbaugh thing, but to be honest, I came to this site because I felt like this was the place to get some inside information on the Clones. Sometimes you will be wrong, but sometimes you will be right. That'll keep most coming back for more.

Thank you very much. It's not easy going out on a limb like that but if I'm wrong, I'll admit it. I can only go by what sources tell me and the day I can't trust them is the day I have no information to share. If I'm wrong on this story, I won't be the only one

I agree. Any inside information or well-sourced speculation on what is happening at any point in time on major events like these is appreciated by many of us fans.

There are going to be a vocal few who can make your life heck at times. Just try not to let them get you down, and remember that there are many Cyclone fans out here that appreciate your efforts. Please keep CF going!

I agree, it's easy to never go out on a limb and give your opinion on anything and not take the risk of being "wrong". I respect the people that do take that chance and I think most members on this board appreciate that.

Also I hope you are right in your prediction! Harbaugh would be excellent IMO.

To follow up the closed Harbaugh thread, things are moving very rapidly and I think an announcement could come as soon as this weekend if things keep going smoothly, knock on wood.

Jeremy, I have been following your site off and on since it started, but am starting to question your sources. You were reporting that Brewster was likely the next coach, then were sure it was Harbaugh, and now you think it is Kelly. In your Harbaugh story, you claimed to have sources on the Harbaugh side. I just find it difficult to believe that you have Harbaugh sources when you are just running a "fan site". So far, most of your coaching announcement have been making predictions that the front runner is going to get the job. After Harbaugh, Norvell, and Brewster all are reported to be out of the coaching search, anybody could guess that a different coach must be close to getting the job. Otherwise, why would ISU tell Norvell and Harbaugh they were no longer in consideration if they didn't have a man lined up. Of course, others were reporting that Kelly was going to get a second interview. Then you report that he is negotiations to finalize the job. Seems like an easy jump to make and hope it comes through. Just like Brewster and Harbaugh. Right now, I just can't trust anything you "report" as being solid information. I know in the beginning you had some items you reported before any other sites were even speculating (such as the Alex Thompson transfer), but I cannot remember the last time you reported anything from your sources that were not being mentioned or reported somewhere else. It seems like you are just throughing stuff out there and hoping it sticks.

If you think he's wrong more than he's right, then its your prerogative. You clearly understand you have the free will to visit or not visit the site as you see fit.

As far as whether he's right or not, its true, the Harbaugh thing didn't turn out as he thought, but aside from that I don't remember him anoiting any other candidate as a "lock". Personally, I'll wait and see how it all shakes out and perhaps after its all over we'll have some perspective as to what was really going on during the search. If Kelly does turn out to be the guy then I think that only makes one time (Harbaugh) that Jeremy wasn't dead on.

I remember how accurate he was during basketball recruiting and I enjoy the discussion that doesn't pertain to breaking stories, so I'll continue to frequent the site. If you judge it not to be worth it, then its no loss to me.

This is getting to be stupid. How many times do we have to cover this? What did you lose when Harbaugh was thought to be the guy? Did you already purchase your Harbaugh Jersey? Who cares? Sources can be wrong. Everything posted is always qualified as not being set in stone. You can't know everything unless you are Jamie Pollard himself. Read the postings for what they are worth. Or how about just don't read them?

Good grief. This is an internet message board. Most people here understand that what Jeremy reports is speculation based on what his sources tell him.

If Harbaugh does not become head coach, most people here including myself, appreciated knowing that he was indeed in the running and a strong candidate - that the rumors about Harbaugh wanting to come to ISU were not just that.

That there is a high correlation between what Jeremy reports and other pay sources report speaks well of this site. Jeremy went out on a limb - such that it should be more clear to an independent observer that he is reporting original information (not something lifted from another site). It would appear to be a no-win situation.

Great posts, everyone!! You would think that the fact that Jeremy puts out the same information that other sites do - except that he puts it out first - would put some of this into perspective. Remember how everyone railed on Jeremy when he was the first to say Mac was going to step down? Jeremy got that from his sources, who got that from another source - and, at its base, this coaching search is fluid. Why come to the site if your first post is just to bash someone?
