How many pairs of shoes do you own?

I have 12, including two pairs of flip flops. 5 of them are running shoes. Some of the running shoes I've retired from running use but still wear.

Completely ballparking here but I would say 50+. I probably have 12 pairs of Chucks alone. I also never get rid of shoes. Once a pair of running shoes is worn out, they become mowing/fishing/muck shoes.

My count is high too but I'm going to piggy back on your excuse. Lots of worn out running shoes that have been converted to mowing/softball field shoes.

Stupid thread I know, but wife and I laid all our shoes out over the weekend to find the odd men out... I had 45 pair while my wife had nearly 60... Didn't include rollerblades, ski boots nor slippers (NOR flippers) but everything else.

So I guess that is 12. For every day purposes I wear my doc martin boots to work/go out in and 1 pair of tennis shoes for everything else. I have never understood "guys" having tons and tons of tennis/basketball shoes just for fun.

im just astonished at 45 pairs for a dude. I have one for pickup basketball, one for leisure, one dress pair and one for work. 45 to me just says I should have bought ISU season tickets and upped my donor level :twitcy:

Me too. And I hate having non-matching socks, so when I buy new I usually do an "all in, all out" type of deal and pitch everything I have and start over with 48 or so pairs of brand new socks that are exactly the same.

I've also still got a couple pairs of my old cleats from high school; one that I keep for alumni football games and the other just for sentimental value. So I guess 10 or 11.
