Stupid thread I know, but wife and I laid all our shoes out over the weekend to find the odd men out... I had 45 pair while my wife had nearly 60... Didn't include rollerblades, ski boots nor slippers (NOR flippers) but everything else.

1 pair slip on skech type for TSA
2 pair work boots for the wet/cold season/drying out time
2 pair dress shoes. 1 brown/ 1 black
2 pair Salomon Equipe ski boots cause I'm a pack rat and kept the previous pair because Damn they cost $600!?.
1 pair damn that mud is deep boots
1 pair golf shoes.

about 15 that get worn regularly throughout the year, plus a couple old pairs that I'm keeping around for eventual need of yardwork/garden shoes, and then probably 5 more I don't wear anymore that are a combo of not really good to wear/will end up being donated. So likely about 22ish.

Own? 8 (maybe 6? I don't really know). Wear? 2 - A nice pair of black Ecco slip-ons, which go great with either dressy or just jeans and a polo, and a pair of sneakers that I wear 4-6 days a week. Also, golf shoes that I wear for at least 2 hours every day that it isn't raining. I went golfing everyday this week, even the day is was like 30 here in IC area.

I'm cheap though and have trouble throwing away decent shoes. So I'm sure I probably have 2x that some where in the house.
