I was wondering this morning where our lineup would stack up next season and I figured the best way to start figuring that out would be to look at who is coming back next season. I went through the returning placewinners, R12 losers, and R16 losers to see who is coming back. The lists are below in the second post along with what year they will be next season.

Looks like 125, 141, & 157 are returning the most of the top guys from NCAAs. And 133 & 165 return the least.

Note that this list does not include weight changes, redshirts, or highly ranked guys who flamed out/got injured at NCAAs this year. This is just non-senior wrestlers who finished in the top 16 at NCAAs

I believe Dieringer is planning on moving from 157 to 165 next season so I think that both Moreno and Gadson will start the season ranked #3. Gadson would move to #2 if Cox redshirts or moves to HWT. Weatherman will probably start ranked between 7th-10th. Hall probably will be ranked anywhere from 7th-12th at 133. Weatherspoon ranked in the low teens at 184.

Meeks might get ranked in the low teens at 141 to start the season. Goettl or G Moreno might also get a low teens ranking to start the season, but I wouldn't bet on it. I don't see us starting the season ranked at 125, 157 or HWT.

Clark of Iowa will probably move to 133, but Gilman will be at 125
Waters of Missouri is coming off redshirt and will be 125 or 133
Hunter Stieber of Ohio State is coming off redshirt and probably be at 149
Alex Dieringer of Ok State (157 champ) will move to 165

Also Morrison(133) of Ok State, Lofthouse (184) of Iowa got eliminated early

Also Judoka, Lazor of UNI got 6th at 141, they have Devin Carter listed twice

I'm excited for next season. I'm really hoping for two finalists out of Moreno and Gadson..Sounds like Gadson beat himself in the first match against Schiller. Moreno will put the work in this summer and will be a contender at 165 it will be interesting to see who will bump up or drop down to that division.

125 will be so stacked as every All-American returns. I'm hoping for Earl to make some big strides in the off-season.

Some people are trying to minimize the amount of cocaine the Klimara had. I don't care how much it is, Cocaine is on a whole different level of drug use.

Was this still in Oklahoma City?

I expect both 133 and 165 to fill up with guys attempting to get out of the way of their current weight classes. Especially 133, with both 125 and 141 being so deep with guys returning.

Yessir...in fact, I had to drive about a block from this place to get between the arena and my hotel.

Welcome SHP.

Seton Hall Pirate provides a lot of indexes and stats for the wrestling world. I am glad to have him as a member of Cyclone Fanatics. He will bring good info to the wrestling board here.

Crazy that he could even wait to get away from an area packed full of wrestling people
Yeah, no kidding, and this club was a good ten-minute drive from the arena. It's not like he could have gotten lost going back to the hotel from Chesapeake Energy Arena, happened to stumble on this club, and one godawful decision led to another. While that would be enough of a problem, he was clearly looking for trouble, and found it in spades.

BTW, buf87, thanks for the kind words!

There are a lot of people defending him and saying .21 grams of Coke is no big deal. I think the bigger issue is that it occurred Friday nigh/Saturday morning in Oklahoma City. And your team is competing on Saturday and still in the running for a National title and his priority is to go drink and have some cocaine.

I wonder who his roommate was for Nationals? (Dieringer?, Kindig?) Just the roommate I want when competing for a National title.
